First, remove the side trim panel to access the vehicle taillight wiring harness connectors. Separate the connectors from the taillight housing, taking care not to damage the locking tabs. Insert the custom wiring harness end (yellow wire for driver side, green wire for passenger side) between the separated connectors. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Repeat this process on both sides.
1. Open the tailgate and remove all trunk floor coverings. 2. Remove the trunk storage trays by removing the two nuts holding them in place. 3. Remove the cargo fasteners securing the rear scuff panel, then pull out on the bottom and up to remove it, taking care not to damage the alignment tabs. 4. Remove the cargo fasteners from the side trim panel and pull it back to locate the taillight wiring harness connectors.

Locate a flat spot inside the vehicle near the taillight and adhere the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape. The converter box should be positioned in a secure, accessible location.
