The CURT 13457 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 4,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 400 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.

The kit includes: 6 carriage bolts (1/2"-13 x 1-3/4", grade 8), 6 serrated-flange nuts (1/2"-13), 6 square-hole spacers (1/4" x 1" x 2-1/2"), and 6 pieces of 1/2" fishwire for routing bolts through the frame.
Yes. The installation uses existing hardware in your vehicle's frame. The hitch bolts thread into weldnuts already present in the frame at the second, third, and fourth rearmost holes on the bottom of the frame.
Spray lubricant or compressed air into each weldnut hole to remove debris. For heavy debris, use a wire brush. Take care not to damage the threads during cleaning.
1. Clean the weldnuts in the frame. 2. Use the provided fishwires to feed three carriage bolts and three square-hole spacers through the rearward end of the frame into the second, third, and fourth rearmost holes on each side. 3. Raise the hitch into position. 4. Feed the fishwires through the three hitch mounting holes on each side until all bolts pass through. 5. Remove the fishwires and loosely install the serrated-flange nuts. 6. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs.
The six fishwires are used to route the carriage bolts and spacers through the vehicle's frame and then through the hitch mounting holes. They guide the hardware into position before the nuts are installed.
Three carriage bolts and three square-hole spacers are installed on each side of the vehicle, for a total of six bolts and six spacers. They are routed through the second, third, and fourth rearmost holes on the bottom of the frame.
No. The manual specifically states: "Make sure the square-hole spacers are not overlapping." Each spacer must be positioned separately in its designated hole.
All 1/2" hardware (carriage bolts and serrated-flange nuts) must be torqued to 110 ft-lbs. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness and prevent damage to the product or vehicle.
