Yes. The first step is to locate the vehicle battery on the driver side under the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
The battery connection must be fuse-protected with a 10-amp maximum. Exceeding this rating can cause loss of warranty, overheating and potential fire.
Drilling may be required. If a suitable existing grounding point (screw with nut in vehicle frame) is not available, you will need to drill a 3/32" pilot hole for the provided ground screw.
Mount the black converter box on a flat, clean surface that is out of the path of spray and debris from the rear wheels and road. Use the provided double-sided tape. Failure to mount in a protected area can cause loss of warranty, product failure, overheating and potential fire.
The kit includes a custom wiring harness with yellow, brown, red, green and white wires; a black converter box; a ground screw with ring terminal; double-sided tape for mounting the converter box; cable ties for securing loose wires; and a 4-flat dust cover. The kit also references an included CME-PCL-INS sheet for battery power wire routing instructions.

After removing the taillight and separating the vehicle taillight wiring harness connectors, insert the custom wiring harness end with yellow, brown and red wires between the separated connectors. Make sure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Repeat on both driver and passenger sides.
The taillight is secured with 10mm screws. Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove them. Take care when prying the taillight out to avoid damaging the alignment tabs.
Locate a suitable grounding point near the taillight connector, such as an existing screw with nut in the vehicle frame. If none is available, drill a 3/32" pilot hole. The area must be free of rust, dirt and paint. Secure the white ground wire using the ring terminal and provided screw. Before drilling, check for hidden items behind or under any surface to avoid damage or personal injury.
Route the custom wiring harness end with the green wire out through the hole between the vehicle bumper and body, to the passenger side, and up through the hole. Insert the housings into the vehicle connectors.
When not in use, roll up the 4-flat connector and store it in a convenient, out-of-the-way location. When in use, route it to the center of the vehicle. Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.
After installation, reinstall all items removed during installation and reconnect the negative battery terminal. Install the provided 4-flat dust cover to help prevent corrosion. Test for proper function by using a test light or connecting a properly wired trailer.
