Yes. The exhaust must be lowered for ease of assembly and heat shield trimming. Remove the rubber isolator (one each side) from the hanger attached to the vehicle. Spray lubricant may assist isolator removal. Support the exhaust to prevent damage. After securing the hitch, the exhaust is raised and secured again.

(9) Raise mounting strap and loosely secure to hitch; raise nut plate and secure mounting strap to cross member with 1/2-13 × 3" hex bolts and conical toothed washers; torque to 75 ft-lbs. (10) Torque all remaining 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs. (11) Secure center fascia tabs with nylon retainer clips.
