Each hitch also has a 1-1/4 inch square receiver tube opening so you can easily attach accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier, or a utility trailer. DRAW-TITE Class 1 custom trailer hitches come complete with all the mounting hardware needed for installation and are backed by a nationwide lifetime limited warranty. So, whether you are headed out to the campground and need a place for the cooler, taking the bikes to hit the trails in the park, or you are tackling a DIY project (maybe some landscaping or a home repair), choose DRAW-TITE and travel with confidence knowing your setup is connected with the security only DRAW-TITE can provide. DRAW-TITE: North America?s Favorite Hitch.

Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

1 compatible vehicles
| Year | Make & Model | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 2001 - 2003 | Chevrolet Camaro | Except Convertible & w/Dealer Installed Ground Effects |
The hitch fits all Chevrolet Camaro models except convertibles. It will not fit vehicles with an optional dealer-installed ground effects package. If your Camaro is a convertible or has a ground effects package, this hitch is not compatible.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 lb (908 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 200 lb (91 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
You will need wrenches in 13mm and 9/16" sizes. A round file may be needed to enlarge hitch clearance holes to fit over vehicle weldnuts. No drill bits are required.
The kit includes: three 8mm flanged locknuts (CL10, one extra), three 7/16" flat washers with 15/16" outside diameter (one extra), one 3/8" conical toothed washer, one 3/8"-16 flanged locknut, ten 7/16" heavy flat washers with 1-1/4" outside diameter (use as needed), and three different length 3/8" Grade 5 hex head bolts (3/8"-16 x 2", 3/8"-16 x 1-3/4", and 3/8"-16 x 1-1/2"). You may not need all washers.
The manual recommends raising the vehicle on a hoist or ramps to avoid scratching the plastic bumper fascia during installation. If the vehicle is not raised, you must be careful not to scratch the bumper fascia when positioning the hitch.
Turn the hitch sideways under the vehicle, then carefully raise one end between the back of the muffler and the plastic bumper fascia. Then raise the other end into place. If the vehicle is not raised on a hoist or ramps, be careful not to scratch the plastic bumper fascia.
Hang the hitch bracket clearance holes over the existing 8mm stud/weldnuts located just rear of the mufflers on both sides of the vehicle. The 3/4" diameter clearance holes in the hitch brackets must sit flat against the vehicle sheet metal and must not rest against the vehicle weldnuts. The existing weldnuts must show through the hitch bracket clearance holes.
Install one 7/16" flat washer (smaller diameter washer) over one of the existing 8mm studs in the vehicle and against the hitch bracket. Then start an 8mm flanged locknut on the stud and tighten with a wrench just enough to keep the hitch bracket against the vehicle sheet metal. Repeat on the other side. The hitch brackets must rest flat against the vehicle sheet metal, not on top of the weldnuts.
It may be necessary to remove two exhaust rubber isolators from the hangers to access the forward hitch attachment point. If removed, you must reinstall them after completing the forward attachment in step 5.
Use heavy flat washers (larger diameter washers) stacked together to make up the gap between the hitch bracket and the vehicle bracket. You may not need all ten supplied washers. Stack them as needed to properly fill the gap.
Three different length 3/8" bolts are supplied: 3/8"-16 x 2", 3/8"-16 x 1-3/4", and 3/8"-16 x 1-1/2". Use the one that works best for your particular vehicle so that the bolt does not bottom out against the aluminum transaxle but still extends through the locknut. You may also need to place flat washers under the bolt head to prevent bottoming out.
Tighten the 8mm locknuts with a torque wrench to 27 Lb.-Ft. (37 N·M).
Tighten the 3/8"-16 Grade 5 bolt with a torque wrench to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N·M).
No drilling is required. However, a round file may be needed to enlarge the hitch clearance hole diameter in some cases to fit over the vehicle weldnuts.
No. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. If the vehicle is not raised on a hoist or ramps, be careful not to scratch the plastic bumper fascia. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Do not let the 3/8" bolt bottom out on the vehicle aluminum transaxle mount.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. After installation, verify that all fasteners are torqued to specification and that the hitch is secure.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but regular inspection is recommended.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue using a damaged hitch.
No. The drawbar kit (part number 3594) is sold separately. The hitch drawbar must be used in the RISE position only.
The hitch is available under part numbers 24850, 60266, 77223, and 24893 (U-Haul). The manual does not specify whether these are alternatives or required together, or which model years each covers.
The wiring access location is at PC1 and PC2.
No. The hitch does not fit Camaro convertibles or vehicles with an optional dealer-installed ground effects package.
You need 13mm and 9/16" wrenches, a torque wrench, and possibly a round file. No drilling is required.
It is recommended to raise the vehicle on a hoist or ramps to avoid scratching the bumper fascia. If not raised, you must be very careful not to scratch the plastic bumper.
Tighten 8mm locknuts to 27 Lb.-Ft. (37 N·M) and the 3/8" bolt to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N·M).
Maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 lb (908 kg) and maximum tongue weight is 200 lb (91 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Do not let the 3/8" bolt bottom out on the aluminum transaxle mount. Use the correct bolt length and add washers as needed to prevent this. Wear eye protection and observe safety precautions when working under the vehicle.
Check that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Verify torque values: 8mm locknuts to 27 Lb.-Ft. and 3/8" bolt to 30 Lb.-Ft.
The hitch clearance holes may not fit properly over the vehicle weldnuts. Use a round file to carefully enlarge the hitch hole diameter until the bracket sits flat against the vehicle sheet metal. Ensure the existing weldnuts show through the hitch bracket clearance holes.
Select a shorter 3/8" bolt from the three supplied lengths (2", 1-3/4", or 1-1/2"). If the shortest bolt still bottoms out, place flat washers under the bolt head to create clearance. Ensure the bolt still extends through the locknut after adjustment.
Stack the heavy flat washers (larger diameter washers) together to fill the gap. The manual supplies ten washers, but you may not need all of them. Stack as many as needed to properly fill the gap so the joint can be tightened without the bolt bottoming out on the transaxle mount.
It may be necessary to remove the two exhaust rubber isolators from the hangers to access the forward attachment point. Remove them carefully, complete the forward attachment installation, and then reinstall the isolators.
