DRAW-TITE: North America?s Favorite Hitch

Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The T-One® T-Connector is a wiring harness adapter that allows you to connect a trailer to your Ram Promaster. It intercepts the vehicle's taillight signals and provides a 4-flat connector for trailer use. The system includes a black control module, wiring harness with yellow and green connectors, a 15 amp fuse holder, and cable ties for secure installation.
Yes, the T-One® T-Connector part 118618-037 is designed for the Ram Promaster. The manual confirms this application. However, you should verify your specific vehicle configuration and consult your vehicle's owner's manual for towing capacity and any additional compatibility requirements.
You will need: trim panel remover, 10mm socket and ratchet or 10mm wrench, drill with 3/32" drill bit, 1/4" socket, wire crimpers, wire cutters, Phillips head screwdriver, and a test probe. Safety glasses are also required.
The kit includes: T-One® T-Connector harness with yellow and green wires, black control module, white ground wire with eyelet, black 12 gauge power wire, 15 amp fuse holder (yellow), 15 amp fuse, yellow butt connector, double-sided tape for module mounting, cable ties, and a ring terminal for battery connection.
Yes. You must disconnect the vehicle's negative (-) battery cable before connecting the power wire to the positive battery terminal. This is done in step 8, after routing the black 12 gauge power wire to the engine compartment. Reconnect the negative battery cable only after the fuse is installed in step 9.
Open the rear door and remove the access panel doors on both sides of the vehicle. You will need to remove several trim panel fasteners to access the panels. Behind these panels you will find the vehicle's wiring connectors at the back of each taillight housing.
Begin on the driver's side. Plug the T-One® T-Connector harness containing the yellow wire between the vehicle's mating connectors at the driver's side taillight. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and ensure connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Then route the end with the green wire across the top threshold to the passenger side and repeat the process for the passenger's side using the connector containing the green wire.
On the driver's side, route the T-One® T-Connector end with the green wire up through the trim panel access hole, across the top threshold, and through the passenger trim panel access hole. For ease of installation, the manual suggests attaching the harness (two connectors) to fish wire and carefully pulling it toward the passenger side.
Yes. You must drill one 3/32" hole on the driver's side near the taillight connectors to secure the white ground wire with an eyelet and screw. Before drilling, verify what is behind the surface to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
A 3/32" drill bit is required. This hole is drilled on the driver's side near the taillight connectors to secure the white ground wire with the eyelet and screw provided.
Mount the black control module on the driver's side using the double-sided tape provided. The module must be mounted so that the epoxy side is pointed toward the ground to prevent water buildup. After mounting, secure the remainder of the harness with cable ties provided, being careful to avoid areas that would cut or pinch the wire.
Locate the black 12 gauge power wire from the T-One® T-Connector black box on the driver's side. You have two options: either route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame, or follow the existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery. Avoid areas that may pinch or break the wire.
First disconnect the vehicle's negative (-) battery cable. Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder if not already removed. Cut the fuse holder wire, attach the ring terminal, and secure it to the vehicle's positive (+) battery cable. Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 gauge power wire using the yellow butt connector provided. Do not reconnect the negative battery cable until after the 15 amp fuse is installed.
A 15 amp fuse is required. This fuse is installed in the yellow fuse holder after the power wire is connected to the vehicle's positive battery cable. The fuse holder is provided with the kit.
After installing the 15 amp fuse into the fuse holder, reconnect the vehicle's negative (-) battery cable. Then secure the remainder of the T-One® T-Connector harness with the cable ties provided, being careful to avoid any areas that would pinch, cut, or melt the wire. Finally, reinstall the threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items removed during installation, being careful not to pinch or cut the wires.
All connections must be complete for the T-One® T-Connector to function properly. Test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer once installed. For the initial test, reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition. This ensures all connections are working correctly before towing.
Do not exceed the lower of the towing manufacturer rating (including in your vehicle owner's manual) or the specific amperage ratings stated on the product. Overloading circuits can cause fires. You must consult both your vehicle's owner's manual and the product specifications to determine the safe amperage limit for your specific setup.
Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
Always wear safety glasses during installation. Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle's battery. Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces. Be careful not to damage locking tabs on connectors. Avoid pinching, cutting, or melting wires when securing the harness with cable ties.
Be careful not to damage the locking tabs and ensure that connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Improper insertion can prevent the T-One® T-Connector from functioning properly.
Yes, part 118618-037 is designed for Ram Promaster vehicles. Verify your vehicle's towing capacity in your owner's manual before installation.
Yes, disconnect the negative (-) battery cable before connecting the power wire to the positive terminal in step 8. Reconnect it only after the 15 amp fuse is installed.
Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle's towing manufacturer rating or the product's amperage rating. Consult your vehicle owner's manual and product specifications. Overloading can cause fires.
