This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Mitsubishi Mirage (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 1,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

Yes. You must enlarge the existing hole on the driver side using a die grinder to allow 7/16" carriage bolts and SP2 spacers to pass through. The passenger side uses the existing access hole without enlargement. See the hole enlargement diagram in the installation instructions for reference.
Fishwire is a technique used to route carriage bolts and spacers through the frame access holes. On the driver side, you fishwire a 7/16" carriage bolt and SP2 spacer through the enlarged access hole and out the forward most mounting hole, then reverse fishwire another bolt and spacer in the enlarged access hole. On the passenger side, fishwire 7/16" carriage bolts and SP2 spacers through the existing access hole and out the mounting holes. Refer to the fishwire technique diagrams in the installation instructions.
Torque all 7/16" hardware (carriage bolts and flange nuts) to 70 ft-lbs. Torque all 3/8" hardware (U-bolt and flange nuts) to 45 ft-lbs.
The CURT 11394 includes: one 3/8"-16 x 1.00 x 1.88" U-bolt, two 3/8" hex flange nuts (HFN3816), four 7/16"-14 hex flange nuts, four 7/16"-14 x 1.5" carriage bolts, four 0.250 x 0.88 x 2.25" square hole spacers (CM-SP2), and four 7/16" fishwires.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times while installing this product. When raising the hitch into position, be careful not to push the carriage bolts back into the frame. Before you begin installation, read all instructions thoroughly.
Yes. CURT recommends the use of 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer (wheel-less) loads. All non-trailer loads applied to this product must be supported by 18050 stabilizing straps.
