This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Chevrolet Spark (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

Required tools are: panel removal tool, 7mm socket, 13mm socket, 3/4" socket, ratchet, torque wrench, 9" socket extension, masking tape, rotary tool with 1.125" bit, Phillips head screwdriver, and safety glasses. Proper tools will greatly improve the quality of the install and reduce installation time.
Yes. You must trim a 4.75" × 2.0" rectangle from the vehicle fascia on the driver's side, positioned 0.75" away from the edge of the driver's side push button. Use masking tape to mark the area as a guide, then trim with a rotary tool. You must also enlarge the rear-most holes on both driver and passenger side frame rails to allow 1/2" carriage bolts and spacers to pass through.
The rear-most holes on both driver and passenger side frame rails must be enlarged to 1.125" diameter to allow 1/2" carriage bolts, CM-SP6, and CM-SP12 spacers to pass into the frame rails.
1. Remove two push button fasteners and two hex bolts from vehicle fascia (7mm socket); save for reinstall. 2. Remove one M8 bolt on passenger side frame rail (13mm socket); pull plastic away. 3. Enlarge rear-most holes on both frame rails to 1.125". 4. Mark and trim 4.75" × 2.0" rectangle on driver's side fascia, 0.75" from push button edge. 5. Fishwire two 1/2"-13 × 1 1/4" bolts and two CM-SP12 spacers into forward-most holes on driver side; fishwire one 1/2"-13 × 1 1/4" bolt and one CM-SP12 into forward-most hole on passenger side. 6. Reverse fishwire one 1/2"-13 × 1 1/2" bolt and one CM-SP6 spacer into each frame rail. 7. Pull fascia down and raise hitch by sliding passenger side plate under plastic tab. 8. Insert M8-1.25 × 30mm hex bolt with 5/16" lock washer and 1/4" flat washer into weld nut; loosely secure remaining hardware with 1/2"-13 hex flange nuts. 9. Reinstall push button fasteners and hex bolts. 10. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs and all M8 hardware to 22.9 ft-lbs.
The kit includes: 3× CM-SP12 spacers (0.250" × 1.00" × 2.00"), 2× CM-SP6 spacers (0.250" × 1.00" × 3.00"), 3× 1/2"-13 × 1 1/4" carriage bolts (Grade 8), 2× 1/2"-13 × 1 1/2" carriage bolts (Grade 8), 1× M8-1.25 × 30mm hex bolt (Class 10.9), 1× 1/4" flat washer, 1× 5/16" lock washer, 5× HFN 1213 hex flange nuts (Grade 8), and 5× 1/2" × 30" fishwire.
Torque all 1/2" hardware (carriage bolts and hex flange nuts) to 110 ft-lbs. Torque all M8 hardware (the M8-1.25 × 30mm hex bolt) to 22.9 ft-lbs.
