Yes. You must temporarily remove four rear underbody panels. Remove them in this order: the forward-most panel first, then the middle panel, and finally the two outer panels. All panels are reinstalled after final torque in Step 6.

Raise driver and passenger-side mounting plates into position and loosely secure with conical-toothed washers and M12 hex nuts (Step 3). 4. Trim lower bumper panel (Step 4). 5. Raise the hitch, center it behind the bumper cover, rotate the receiver tube into position, and secure with 1/2" carriage bolts and serrated flange nuts (Step 5). 6. Torque all fasteners and reinstall panels (Step 6).
The mounting brackets should be loosely secured in Step 3 with conical-toothed washers and M12 hex nuts. They are fully tightened only in Step 6 after the hitch is centered and the carriage bolts are installed.
