Yes. Lower the spare tire before installation for ease of access. Raise it back into storage after the hitch is installed. The spare may need to be pushed toward the front of the truck to provide clearance between the tire and hitch.
1. Lower the spare tire. 2. Install 1/2" carriage bolts and spacers through existing holes in the frame. 3. Raise the hitch into position over the carriage bolts and secure with flat washers, lock washers, and hex nuts. 4. Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb.-ft. 5. Raise the spare tire back into storage, pushing it toward the front if needed for clearance.
