You will need: a ratchet, pliers, standard and metric regular and deep-well sockets, a 5/16" drill bit (very sharp), a heavy duty drill, a hose cutter, razor blade or sharp knife, a hoist or floor jack, safety glasses, two safety stands, an air compressor or compressed air source, and a spray bottle with dish soap and water solution.

Mark the upper and lower springs and spring seats with a china marker, tire marker, or white crayon to note their location. This helps ensure the springs are reinstalled in the correct position for proper alignment.
Yes. Remove the lower shock bolts from both shocks before lifting the vehicle. After the air springs are installed, you will reinstall these bolts and torque them to 100 lb.-ft (135 Nm).
Yes. Once the coil spring is removed, remove and discard the spring rubber isolators from the top of the coil springs before installing the air springs.
Cut the air line (part 20937) into two equal lengths. Using pliers, install an air line clamp (part 10638) onto one end of each air line. Remove the valve caps from the air springs and install the air lines onto the barbed stem of the air springs. Slide the air line clamp over the barbed section of the stem.
The air spring spacer (part 09111) is installed over the air line and onto the top of the air spring. The boss on the spacer must face away from the air spring. The spacer helps position the air spring correctly within the coil spring assembly.
The end of the coil spring indexes into the rubber spring seat only one way. Additionally, there is a tab on top of the rubber spring seat that must index into the upper spring seat. Use the marks you made in the preparation step to ensure proper alignment.
Torque the lower shock bolts to 100 lb.-ft (135 Nm). Install the nuts finger-tight first, then raise the axle all the way up before final torquing.
Route the air line on top of the frame, leaving slack above the spring seat for suspension articulation. Use zip ties (part 10466) to attach the air line to existing lines above the frame. On the driver's (left) side, route the air line to the outside of the frame rail to keep it clear of the exhaust. Maintain at least 6" (152 mm) clearance from the exhaust system to prevent the air line from melting.
Single-path installation is recommended for vehicles with even weight distribution. Both air springs connect to a single tee fitting (part 21236) that feeds to one Schrader valve. Dual-path installation is used when weight varies from side to side and unequal pressures are needed to level the load. In dual-path, you eliminate the tee fitting and route separate air lines for each air spring.
Select a location for the Schrader valve (part 21455) that will be protected and accessible. Recommended locations are: inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or on the license plate or rear bumper area. The valve must be accessible for inflating the air springs.
Yes. You must drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole for the Schrader valve mount. This is the only drilling required for the installation.
