Required tools include: hoist or floor jacks, 2 safety stands, safety glasses, torque wrench, standard open-end combo wrenches, ratchet, metric and standard sockets, #6 metric hex key wrench (socket if available), 7/32" hex key wrench (socket if available), 5/16" drill bit (very sharp), heavy duty drill, hose cutter, razor blade or sharp knife, air compressor or compressed air source, and spray bottle with dish soap/water solution.

Raise the vehicle and support the axle with safety stands, setting the jack stands as wide as possible on the axle. Then drop the axle or raise the frame to make room for the assemblies to be positioned between the frame and axle. Finally, remove the jounce bumper from under the frame rail.
Attach the upper frame bracket (part 07057) to the frame using two M10-1.5 x 35 button-head screws (part 17366). The slot in the frame goes inboard toward the inside of the vehicle. Torque the screws to 30 lb.-ft. (41 Nm). Repeat for the opposite side.
If one of the jounce bumper bolts breaks upon removal, you will need to drill a 5/16" hole. Line up the hole in the upper bracket over the broken bolt, then center punch and drill a 5/16" hole in the center of the outside hole next to the broken bolt hole. Insert and tighten the self-tapping bolt (part 17151) into the hole drilled and torque to 15 lb.-ft. (20 Nm). Use self-tapping bolts only if the existing jounce bumper bolts break.
1. Set a roll plate (part 11967) over the top of each air spring (part 58496) with the radiused edge toward the bellows. 2. Install the swivel fitting (part 21837) into the top of the air spring finger tight plus one and a half turns. 3. Install the air spring bracket (part 07058) onto the air spring using 3/8"-24 x 7/8" button-head screws (part 17365), torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm). 4. Flip the assemblies over and set a roll plate onto the bottom. 5. Set the lower bracket (part 03062) with the arrow pointing opposite the swivel fitting, and attach with 3/8"-24 x 7/8" flat-head screws (part 17215), torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
The 3/8"-24 x 7/8" button-head screws (part 17365) that attach the air spring bracket (part 07058) to the air spring should be torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
The 3/8"-24 x 7/8" flat-head screws (part 17215) that attach the lower bracket (part 03062) should be torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
Set the assemblies onto the axle with the fittings to the inside of the frame. Align the upper air spring and frame bracket (part 07057) slots and attach using two 3/8"-16 x 1 1/4" carriage bolts (part 17361), two 3/8" flat washers (part 18444), and two 3/8" nylon lock nuts (part 18435). Leave the hardware loose at this time; it will be torqued later after the lower brackets are attached.
1. Raise the axle or lower the frame and ensure the lower bracket has nested over the jounce bumper strike plate. 2. Attach the lower bracket by inserting a 3/8"-16 x 2 1/4" hex-head bolt (part 17420) through a 3/8" flat washer (part 18444) and J-clamp (part 01663). Install the J-clamp with the short end under the jounce bumper strike plate with the bolt through the lower bracket. Cap with a 3/8" flat washer and 3/8" nylon lock nut (part 18435). Do this for the front and rear of the lower bracket, ensuring the lower bracket stays centered on the jounce bumper strike plate. Torque the lower bracket hardware evenly to 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm). 3. Once the lower bracket is tight, push the top of the air spring assembly forward or backward to align the upper and lower brackets so they are parallel. Torque the upper mounting hardware to 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm).
The lower bracket hardware should be torqued evenly to 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm). After the lower bracket is tight, the upper mounting hardware should be torqued to 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm).
1. Cut the air line in half using a razor blade or hose cutter, making clean, square cuts. Do not use scissors or wire cutters. 2. Use zip ties to secure the air line to fixed points along the chassis without pinching or kinking it. Leave at least 2" (51 mm) of slack in the air line to allow for movement. The minimum bend radius for the air line is 1" (25 mm). 3. Keep at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. 4. Install the Schrader valve in the chosen location (inside fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or license plate/rear bumper area).

Attach the metal heat shield to the exhaust where it is closest to the passenger's (right) side air spring. Slide the air line thermal sleeve over the air line and position it where the air line is closest to the exhaust. Maintain at least 1/2" (13 mm) dead air space between the shield and exhaust. Use double hose clamps if necessary.
At least 1/2" (13 mm) clearance must be maintained from anything that might rub against each air spring sleeve. Be sure to check the tire, brakes, frame, shock absorbers, and brake cables. Additionally, keep at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system.

Check air pressure weekly. Always maintain normal ride height and never inflate beyond 100 PSI (7 BAR).
The minimum recommended pressure is 5 PSI (0.34 BAR) and the maximum air pressure is 100 PSI (7 BAR). However, the air pressure actually needed is dependent on load and gross vehicle weight rating. Never exceed the maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or payload rating as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer.
Use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core. Spray the solution on all connections and look for bubbles, which indicate a leak. If the system develops an air leak, identify and fix all leaks before deflating and removing the air spring.
