Normal Ride Height is the distance between the bottom edge of the wheel-well and the center of the hub when the vehicle is in 'as delivered' condition. It must be measured and recorded before installation because the air springs must be adjusted to restore this exact height during operation. The manual provides a measurement worksheet on page 2 for recording this value.
If leaf springs are sagging badly, use a jack to raise the rear end so the vehicle achieves the original 'as delivered' ride height before measuring.
