From the cattle rancher on the open range to the industrial man of the asphalt jungle to the jerky-jawing trail hog of the north woods, the ARIES 2-1/2" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from strong carbon steel and finished in a durable E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish to outlast rust and the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, polished stainless steel and textured black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 2-1/2" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 2-1/2" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon (see application info to verify fitment).

For standard models where the mounting holes pass completely through the frame rails, insert 2 M12 x 100mm hex bolts, 2 M12 flat washers, 2 M12 lock washers, and 2 M12 hex nuts through the front and rear mounting holes. Snug but do not fully tighten the hardware until the bull bar is positioned and leveled.
These models have an oval hole at the rear that does not pass completely through the frame. For the rear mounting: partially thread a plastic retainer onto the threaded end of a bolt tab, insert the bolt tab into the factory oval hole on the inner frame rail, hold the bolt end with one hand, and tighten the plastic retainer with your other hand until it reaches the side rail so it does not fall in. Secure the front with 1 M12 x 100mm hex bolt, 2 M12 flat washers, 1 M12 lock washer, and 1 M12 hex nut. Secure the rear to the bolt tab with 1 M10 flat washer, 1 M10 lock washer, and 1 M10 nut. Snug but do not tighten hardware.
With assistance, position the bull bar to the mounting brackets. Use a level to ensure it is properly aligned. Secure it using 2 M12 x 50mm hex bolts, 2 M12 lock washers, and 2 M12 flat washers (one per bracket). Adjust the bull bar with the level until it is properly positioned, then tighten all hardware.
After installing each mounting bracket (both driver/left and passenger/right), snug but do not tighten the hardware. Only after the bull bar is positioned and leveled should you tighten all hardware.
