ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Ford F-150, F-150 Lightning, F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty and F-550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

Yes. Plastic washers are required and must be installed on each factory mounting stud before attaching the mounting brackets. The plastic washers are designed to prevent corrosion between the aluminum body panel and the steel mounting brackets. Do not install the brackets without the plastic washers.

Start with the passenger side. Locate the front factory running board mounting studs on the inner side of the body panel. Slide plastic washers onto each stud, then attach a mounting bracket with 8mm flat washers and nylon lock nuts (snug but do not fully tighten). Repeat for the two remaining center and rear brackets on the passenger side. Position the passenger sidebar onto the three brackets and attach with 8mm x 25mm hex bolts, lock washers and flat washers (do not tighten). Level and adjust the sidebar, then tighten all hardware. Repeat the entire process for the driver/left sidebar.
No. When attaching the mounting brackets to the factory studs, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten it. The hardware is fully tightened only after the sidebar is positioned and leveled on the brackets.
No. Do not slide, rotate, or move the sidebar front to back on the brackets during installation, as this may damage the finish on the sidebar. Carefully position the sidebar onto the brackets and then attach it with the hex bolts.
All six mounting brackets are universal and will fit either the left or right side of the vehicle. You do not need to identify separate left and right brackets.
