ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ford F-150, F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty and F-550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment).

The kit includes 1 driver/left side bar, 1 passenger/right side bar, 4 universal mounting brackets, 12 M8 flat washers, 12 M8 nylon flat washers, 12 M8 x 1.25 CL8.8 nylock nuts, 8 10mm flat washers, 8 10mm lock washers, and 8 10mm hex bolts.
You will need a ratchet, a level, a 13mm socket, and a 16mm socket.
Yes, the four mounting brackets are universal and will fit on both the driver and passenger sides.
Nylon washers must be installed first to prevent a corrosion effect from the aluminum body and steel bracket. This protects the product from galvanic corrosion caused by direct contact between dissimilar metals.
Place a nylon washer over the factory bolts first, then position the bracket, add an 8mm flat washer, and secure with a nylock nut. Snug the hardware with a 13mm socket but do not fully tighten until all components are installed and aligned.
There are two mounting locations on the inside of the rocker panel on each side (driver and passenger). Each location has three 8mm studs to secure the brackets.
Do not fully tighten hardware as you install each bracket. Snug the hardware only. After placing the side bar onto the brackets and snugging all connections, check for level and adjust if necessary. Once aligned, tighten all hardware.
Carefully place the side bar onto the brackets, ensuring the rivet nuts on the bottom of the side bar line up with the brackets. Attach using the supplied 10mm hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Snug the hardware but do not fully tighten until all connections are installed and the bar is level.
With all hardware installed, tighten all vehicle connections (the brackets to the rocker panel) first, followed by the side bar connections (the side bar to the brackets). Check for level and adjust if necessary before final tightening.
Apply a layer of nonabrasive wax to protect the product. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these could damage the finish. For stainless steel and aluminum, mild polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean the product.
Perform periodic inspections to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. This helps ensure the side bars remain properly fastened and safe during use.
