ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

Remove contents from the box and verify all parts are present. Read all instructions carefully before starting. Use a wire brush or thread die to remove paint buildup from the factory threaded studs before attaching brackets. Clean threads on factory body bolts to remove paint buildup before reinstalling them.
Start with the driver/left side. Install the front mounting bracket first, then the front support bracket, then the rear mounting bracket, then the rear support bracket. Attach the driver/left sidebar to both front and rear brackets, level and adjust it, then fully tighten all hardware. Repeat the entire process for the passenger/right side.
Locate the 3 factory studs along the inner side of the body panel. Place the mounting bracket over the studs with the flat side against the body panel. Attach the bracket using 3 8mm flat washers and 3 8mm nylon lock nuts. Leave the bracket loose at this time.
Remove the factory body bolt and washer from the body mount. Clean the threads on the body bolt to remove paint buildup. Reuse the factory body bolt and washer to attach the upper slot in the support bracket to the body mount.
With assistance, line up the front end of the sidebar with the front bracket. Attach the front end using one 1/2" hex bolt, one 1/2" lock washer, and one 1/2" flat washer. Do not tighten the hardware at this time. Repeat at the rear brackets. After both ends are attached, level and adjust the sidebar as necessary, then fully tighten all hardware.
