ARIES 3" side bars add a custom look and dependable footing to your truck, Jeep or SUV. They feature a classic style, a strong design and non-skid step pads. ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a t rue stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

Similarly, clean the factory body bolt to remove paint buildup before reinstalling it with the support bracket. This ensures proper fastener engagement and torque.
Install the driver/left side first, then the passenger/right side. For each side: (1) attach the front mounting bracket to the factory studs with 8mm washers and nylon lock nuts, leaving it loose; (2) remove and clean the factory body bolt, then reuse it to attach the front support bracket; (3) repeat steps 1–2 at the rear mounting location; (4) with assistance, line up and attach the sidebar to the front brackets with 1/2" hex bolts, lock washers and flat washers, leaving them loose; (5) attach the sidebar to the rear brackets the same way; (6) level and adjust the sidebar, then fully tighten all hardware.
No. Leave the mounting brackets loose when you first attach them to the factory studs. Similarly, do not tighten the hex bolts that attach the sidebar to the brackets. Tighten all hardware only after the sidebar has been levelled and adjusted to the correct position (Step 8).
Yes. The support brackets are designed to reuse the factory body bolts that are already on your vehicle. Remove the factory body bolt, clean it to remove paint buildup, and then use it to attach the upper slot of the support bracket to the body mount. This applies to both the front and rear support brackets on each side.
The 1/2" hex bolts that attach the sidebar to the brackets must be torqued to 28 ft-lbs. according to the torque specification table in the manual.
The 8mm nylon lock nuts that attach the mounting brackets to the factory studs must be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. according to the torque specification table (M8 bolt equivalent).
