These 3" nerf bars are constructed from strong carbon steel for superior rigidity, and they feature a sleek semi-gloss black powder coat finish. For an added edge, each nerf bar also goes through an E-coat process, before receiving its black powder coat, to strengthen and protect the final finish against peeling, chipping and scratching. ARIES 3" round side bars are also available in polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black powder-coated steel. All ARIES 3" nerf bars come with heavy-duty steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets are strong and custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the side bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. They offer easy installation and the strength necessary to provide sound footing. These particular custom nerf bars fit specific years of the Toyota FJ Cruiser (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of tough polypropylene. These step pads feature a textured pattern for enhanced safety, and they cover a wide portion of the tubes for a more comfortable step.

No. The sidebars are sold as decorative accessories and should not be relied upon as protection for the vehicle or occupants in the event of a collision or rollover. The buyer assumes all risk and liability from installation and use.
The driver side brackets attach at two locations: one at the front body mount, and another at existing threaded holes approximately 37-3/4" back towards the rear of the truck. The same frame locations are used for the passenger side brackets.
1. Install driver side brackets first, hand-tightening M8 bolts only. 2. Position driver side bar on brackets and secure with 3/8" bolts, rotating the bar to position step pads correctly on top. 3. Return to tighten M8 bolts securing brackets to frame. 4. Finish tightening 3/8" bolts, rotating bar if necessary. 5. Repeat the entire process on the passenger side.
No. When first securing the driver side brackets to the frame with M8 bolts and 5/16" washers, hand-tighten only. Final tightening occurs after the sidebar is positioned and secured with 3/8" bolts.
Position the sidebar on the brackets with the rear step pad closer to the end of the bar. Carefully rotate the bar until the step pads are correctly positioned on top of the bar before final tightening.
Eight 3/8" × 1" bolts with 3/8" flatwashers and 3/8" lockwashers are used to secure the sidebars to the mount brackets.
Eight M8-1.25×30mm bolts with 5/16" flatwashers are used to secure the mount brackets to the frame.

Hand-tighten M8 bolts only when first installing the brackets. Fully tighten them after the sidebar is positioned and secured with 3/8" bolts.
Install one side completely first. Complete all steps on the driver side, then repeat the entire process on the passenger side.
