ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicl e. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Jeep Liberty (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The kit includes: 2 side bars (driver and passenger), 4 mounting brackets (2 front, 2 rear), 6 fit adjustment spacers (127mm × 25mm × 3mm), 4 bolt plates (M10 - 1.50 × 30mm), 4 M10 nylock nuts, 4 large M10 flat washers (30mm × 2.5mm), 8 small M10 flat washers (25mm × 2mm), 8 M10 hex bolts (30mm), 8 M10 lock washers, 8 M8 hex bolts (1.25 × 35mm), 8 M8 nylock nuts, and 16 M8 flat washers.
Yes. If the front of the sidebar makes contact with front factory flares, place one, two, or three of the included fit adjustment spacers (127mm × 25mm × 3mm) on the outside of the pinch weld between the mounting bracket and pinch weld as needed to create clearance.
Remove all contents from the box and verify that all parts are present using the parts list. Read all instructions carefully before starting installation. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
Install the driver (left) side first, then repeat the same process for the passenger (right) side. For each side: (1) insert the bolt plate into the front mounting location, (2) partially hang the front mounting bracket, (3) attach the bracket to the pinch weld with bolts, (4) repeat for the rear bracket, (5) position the side bar onto both brackets, (6) attach the side bar with bolts, (7) level and adjust the side bar, then tighten all hardware.
No. When attaching the mounting bracket to the pinch weld in step 4, do not tighten the bolts at this time. Similarly, when attaching the side bar to the mounting brackets in step 6, do not tighten at this time. Tighten all hardware only after the side bar has been leveled and adjusted properly in step 7.
The vertical mounting locations in the brackets must be on the outer side of the pinch weld. Additionally, the 10mm mounting tab location on the brackets should face the front of the vehicle.
Rear mounting brackets are ¼ inch longer than front mounting brackets. Ensure you use the front brackets at the front of the vehicle and the rear brackets at the rear.
M10 bolts should be torqued to 16 ft.-lbs.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft.-lbs.
Perform periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. For stainless steel and aluminum components, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild soap may be used to clean the product.
Yes, if the front sidebar contacts factory flares, use one to three included fit adjustment spacers between the mounting bracket and pinch weld to create clearance.
The kit includes M10 and M8 hex bolts, nylock nuts, lock washers, and flat washers. All fasteners needed for installation are included.
Do not tighten any bolts until the side bar has been leveled and adjusted properly. Tighten all hardware in step 7 after positioning and leveling is complete.
M10 bolts: 16 ft.-lbs. M8 bolts: 7 ft.-lbs. Use these specifications for all corresponding fasteners during installation.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware is secure and tight. Check that the side bars are level and properly adjusted.
