ARIES nerf bars are all made vehicle-specific for a custom, no-drill fit, and they are available in multiple finish options. This set of nerf bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a polished finish. Our 304 stainless steel is a true stainless with high nickel content, offering better corrosion resistance and a long-lasting finish. The polish is a triple application, resulting in a mirror-like shine to complement your vehicle. ARIES 3" round side bars also come with high-strength steel brackets and non-skid step pads. The mounting brackets -- as well as the side bars and step pads -- are custom-designed for specific makes and models to allow the nerf bars to contour to the lines of your vehicle. This ensures easy, no-drill installation and the strength necessary to provide solid footing. This particular set of custom nerf bars fits specific years of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (see application info to verify fitment). ARIES 3" round side bars also come with non-skid step pads made of polypropylene. These wide, custom-positioned step pads feature a textured pattern and cover a wide portion of the tubes to be more comfortable and high-traction, even in wet conditions.

The kit includes: 1 passenger side bar, 1 driver side bar, 1 passenger side front mounting bracket, 1 driver side front mounting bracket, 1 passenger side rear mounting bracket, 1 driver side rear mounting bracket, 1 bolt tab (10mm x 25mm), 8 bolts (10-1.50mm x 30mm hex head), 8 bolts (6-1.25mm x 20mm hex head), 9 flat washers (10mm ID x 20mm OD x 1.5mm), 16 flat washers (8mm ID x 23.5mm OD x 2mm), 9 lock washers (10mm), 8 lock washers (6mm), 8 nuts (6mm), and 1 nut (10mm).
No drilling is required. The side bars mount to existing factory mounting points on the rocker panel drip rail. The passenger side requires installation of a bolt tab into an existing hole in the frame rail.
You must remove the skid shield bolts at four locations: driver side front, driver side rear, passenger side front, and passenger side rear. These bolts are removed temporarily during bracket installation and then re-attached after the brackets are secured.
1. Install driver side front bracket to rocker panel drip rail using 2 bolts, 4 flat washers, 2 lock washers, and 2 nuts; re-attach skid shield bolt. 2. Install driver side rear bracket the same way. 3. Attach driver side bar to both brackets using 4 bolts (10mm x 30mm), 4 lock washers, and 4 flat washers; level and tighten. 4. Install passenger side bolt tab into frame rail hole. 5. Install passenger side front bracket to rocker panel drip rail; attach bolt tab with 1 flat washer, 1 lock washer, and 1 nut. 6. Install passenger side rear bracket the same way as driver side. 7. Attach passenger side bar to both brackets using 4 bolts (10mm x 30mm), 4 lock washers, and 4 flat washers; level and tighten.
Snug but do not tighten the mounting brackets to the rocker panel drip rail during steps 2, 3, 5, and 6. Tighten all hardware only after the side bars are positioned and leveled on the mounting brackets in steps 4 and 7.
Install the 10mm x 25mm bolt tab into the bottom of the frame rail (Fig 5). Once installed, attach it to the passenger side front mounting bracket using 1 flat washer (10mm ID x 20mm OD x 1.5mm), 1 lock washer (10mm), and 1 nut (10mm). Snug but do not fully tighten until the side bar is positioned and leveled.
The driver side bar is attached using 4 bolts (10-1.50mm x 30mm hex head), 4 lock washers (10mm), and 4 flat washers (10mm ID x 20mm OD x 1.5mm). These fasteners are tightened after the bar is leveled and adjusted.

Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware remains secure and tight. Wax the product after installation and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, as these can damage the finish. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used for cleaning. For gloss black finishes, use only mild soap for cleaning.
