ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bea ring the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (see application info to verify fitment).

You do not need to remove the entire skid shield. You only need to remove the skid shield bolts at the front and rear mounting locations. After installing each mounting bracket, the skid shield bolts are re-attached.
Installation proceeds in this order: (1) Install driver side front mounting bracket to the rocker panel drip rail after removing the front skid shield bolt, then re-attach the skid shield bolt. (2) Install driver side rear mounting bracket to the rocker panel drip rail after removing the rear skid shield bolt, then re-attach the skid shield bolt. (3) Attach the driver side bar to both mounting brackets and level it before final tightening. (4) Install the bolt tab into the bottom of the frame rail on the passenger side. (5) Install passenger side front mounting bracket to the rocker panel drip rail and secure it to the bolt tab. (6) Install passenger side rear mounting bracket to the rocker panel drip rail after removing the rear skid shield bolt, then re-attach the skid shield bolt.
