ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Jeep Grand Cherokee (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes. You must locate and remove the skid shield bolts at both the front and rear mounting locations on each side before installing the mounting brackets. After installing each bracket, you re-attach the skid shield bolt. The front and rear skid shield bolts are shown in Figures 1, 3, and 7 of the installation instructions.
The 10mm x 25mm bolt tab is a component that must be installed into the bottom of the frame rail on the passenger (right) side only, before mounting the passenger side front bracket. It provides an additional mounting point for the passenger side front bracket. See Figure 5 for the installation location.
Install in this order: (1) Driver side front bracket, (2) Driver side rear bracket, (3) Driver side bar, (4) Passenger side bolt tab into frame rail, (5) Passenger side front bracket, (6) Passenger side rear bracket, (7) Passenger side bar. Each bracket should be snug but not fully tightened until the side bar is positioned, leveled, and adjusted, then all hardware is tightened together.
