It begins with a one-piece frame of 1/4" thick welded plates and 1-1/2" mandrel-bent tubing for a solid build. Each one is made with a vehicle-specific design for a better fit, easier install and more secure mounting. The side brush guards are custom-bent to contour to the profile of your vehicle, while the mounting brackets are positioned for a no-drill application. This means pre-existing factory holes are used to ensure optimum fitment and less vibration. This particular custom grille guard fits specific years of the Ford Ranger (see application info to verify). The ARIES grille guard also makes it easy to customize the look of your vehicle. Not only does the crossbar have two pre-drilled holes for mounting aftermarket LED lights, but many of our grille guards are also available in two finish options -- polished stainless steel or semi-gloss black steel. The stainless steel grille guard is made with 304 stainless, being high in nickel content and truly resistant to rust and corrosion. This option comes with a mirror-like polished finish for a definitive shine. The semi-gloss black grille guard is made with high-strength carbon steel for added strength. It features a tough, dual-layer E-coat and black powder coat finish to protect against rust, scratches and the elements. All ARIES grille guards also come with rubber stripping along the risers to protect the frame against scuffs and scratches.

Yes. The 3069 is designed to fit both vehicles with and without tow hooks. On tow hook-equipped vehicles, the frame mounting brackets install between the tow hook and the bottom of the frame, and the tow hook is reinstalled with the same bolts that secure the brackets.
Yes. On models with a steel skid plate, the skid plate must be temporarily removed to access the tow hooks during installation. Once the frame brackets are installed, the skid plate can be reinstalled.
Yes. The installation instructions state that installation may interfere with front-mounted sensors. Before installation, verify that your vehicle's sensors will not be obstructed by the grille guard.
A socket set, cutting tool, and box wrench are required. The cutting tool is needed to trim the plastic bumper on vehicles without tow hooks to clear the mounting brackets.
Yes, assistance is recommended. Step 7 specifically states 'With assistance, hold the Grille Guard up in position on the outside of the Mounting Brackets' when attaching the grille guard to the frame mounting brackets.
Cutting may be required. On vehicles without tow hooks, you must cut out the lower section of the indented area in both sides of the plastic bumper to clear the mounting brackets. The manual recommends making several small cuts for best fit and trimming the plastic as required to clear the brackets and hardware.
On tow hook-equipped vehicles, yes—the tow hook must be temporarily removed to install the frame mounting brackets. First remove the plastic cover attached to the tow hook, then remove the tow hook from the bottom of the frame. After the brackets are positioned, the tow hook is reinstalled using the same bolts that secure the brackets.
Yes. The factory bumper bracket bolt is reused to attach the top brackets to the back of the bumper bracket. You must locate and remove the top bumper bracket bolt from behind/below the bumper, then reuse it to secure the top bracket.
No. In Step 7, when attaching the grille guard to the frame mounting brackets, the instructions state 'Do not tighten hardware at this time.' After checking alignment and clearance in Step 9, you then fully tighten all hardware.
The torque specification for 12mm bolts is 28 ft-lbs. This applies to the 12-1.75mm x 45mm hex bolts used to attach the frame mounting brackets to the frame.
The torque specification for 10mm bolts is 16 ft-lbs. This applies to the 10-1.5mm x 35mm hex bolts used to attach the grille guard to the frame mounting brackets.
The torque specification for 8mm bolts is 7 ft-lbs. This applies to the 8-1.25mm x 25mm hex bolts used to attach the grille guard to the top brackets.
After installation, check the grille guard for alignment with the vehicle and for clearance between the grille guard and the bumper. Adjust as required before fully tightening all hardware. The manual also recommends periodic inspections to ensure all hardware remains secure and tight.
Wax the grille guard after installation and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer. Do not use any polish or wax containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes, as these may damage the finish. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, non-abrasive polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Clean with mild automotive detergent only.
