The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless is high in nickel content, allowing the bull bar to easily resist water, road salt and rust and maintain its mirror-like polished finish in spite of the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, textured black steel and semi-gloss black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Toyota Tacoma (see application info to verify fitment).

The ARIES 35-2002 3-Inch Polished Stainless Steel Bull Bar, No-Drill, Select Toyota Tacoma (Part #BBDR35-2002) fits the following vehicles: 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma. Always verify your specific year, make, and model before ordering.
The ARIES 35-2002 3-Inch Polished Stainless Steel Bull Bar, No-Drill, Select Toyota Tacoma (Part #BBDR35-2002) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the Curt B35-2002 bull bar is designed for 2005-2013 Toyota Tacoma models. However, it is not compatible with the optional full coverage factory aluminum skid plate. If your vehicle has this skid plate, it must be removed before installation and cannot be reinstalled.
The factory tow hook on the passenger side may need to be removed during installation. The manual notes that it may be necessary to remove it to access the mounting points. Once the driver side bracket is installed, the factory tow hook should be reinstalled after the passenger side bracket is secured.
The kit includes: 1 bull bar, 2 frame mounting brackets (driver and passenger), 2 10-1.50mm × 120mm × 30mm hex bolts, 4 10-1.50mm × 30mm hex bolts, 2 10mm × 30mm OD × 2.5mm flat washers, 10 10mm × 20mm OD × 2mm flat washers, 6 10mm lock washers, 6 10mm hex nuts, and 4 12mm spacer washers. The installation also reuses 2 factory hex nuts from the bumper mount.
The manual does not specify which tools are required for installation. You should consult with the manufacturer or an installer to determine what wrenches, sockets, or other tools are needed to remove factory fasteners and secure the mounting brackets and bull bar.
Yes, the manual states 'with assistance' when lining up the mounting tabs on the bull bar with the frame mounting brackets before bolting them together. At minimum, a second person is recommended for this step.
1. Remove the 2 factory bumper mount hex nuts on the outside of the frame on the driver side. 2. Hang the driver side frame mounting bracket from the 2 threaded studs and secure with the 2 factory hex nuts (do not tighten). 3. Insert a 12mm spacer washer between the bracket and frame, then insert the 10mm × 120mm hex bolt through the oval hole, spacer washer, and into the frame channel. Secure with a 10mm × 30mm flat washer, 10mm lock washer, and 10mm hex nut (snug but do not tighten). 4. Repeat steps 2-3 for the passenger side. Reinstall the factory tow hook if removed. 5. With assistance, line up the bull bar mounting tabs with the frame brackets and bolt the bull bar using the 4 10mm × 30mm hex bolts, 8 10mm × 20mm flat washers, 4 10mm lock washers, and 4 10mm hex nuts (snug but do not tighten). 6. Level and adjust the bull bar, then tighten all hardware. 7. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware remains secure.
The manual instructs you to snug (hand-tighten) but not fully tighten hardware during the initial mounting steps to allow for adjustment. This allows you to level and properly align the bull bar before final tightening in Step 5. Only after the bull bar is leveled and adjusted should all hardware be fully tightened.
The manual does not provide torque specifications for any of the fasteners used in the installation. Contact the manufacturer or consult a qualified installer to determine the correct torque values for the 10mm and 12mm fasteners.
The 12mm spacer washers are inserted between the mounting bracket and the frame channel to create proper spacing. One spacer washer is placed in front of the bracket, and another is placed over the 10mm hex bolt to cover the opening in the back of the frame channel. This ensures correct alignment and support of the mounting bracket.
Two frame mounting brackets are included: one driver/left side bracket and one passenger/right side bracket. Both are installed using the same procedure, with the driver side installed first.
The 2 factory hex nuts from the bumper mount are reused to secure the frame mounting brackets to the threaded studs on the frame. The manual specifies removing only the 2 outer hex nuts bolting the bumper bracket to the end of the frame, then using those factory hex nuts to bolt the mounting bracket to the frame.
Wax the bull bar after installation and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, as these can damage the finish. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs. Mild soap may be used to clean the bull bar. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all hardware remains secure and tight.
The manual mentions two finish options: stainless steel and gloss black. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean. For gloss black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean. Do not use any polish or wax containing abrasives on either finish, as these can cause damage.
