ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ford F-150, F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty and F-550 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment).

The mounting locations are on the inside of the rocker panel. There are two mounting locations on each side (driver and passenger), with three 8mm studs in each location to secure the brackets.
Nylon washers must be installed first to prevent a corrosion effect from the aluminum body and steel bracket. This protective layer prevents galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metals.
Starting at the front, place a nylon washer over the factory bolts, followed by the bracket. Then add an 8mm flat washer and secure with a nylock nut. Snug the hardware with a 13mm socket, but do not fully tighten until the final alignment step.
No. During initial installation, snug the hardware with a 13mm socket but do not fully tighten. Wait until all hardware is installed and the side bars are aligned with a level. Only then should you tighten all hardware completely.
Carefully place the side bar onto the brackets and ensure the rivet nuts on the bottom of the side bar line up with the brackets. Attach using the supplied 10mm hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. Snug the hardware but do not fully tighten until the final alignment step.
Install the front and rear brackets on the driver side first, snugging but not fully tightening. Then attach the driver side bar to the brackets. Repeat the entire process on the passenger side. With all hardware installed, tighten vehicle connections first, then side bar connections. Check for level and adjust if necessary before final tightening.
After all hardware is installed, use a level to check that the side bars are properly aligned. Adjust the brackets if necessary to achieve level alignment before fully tightening all hardware.
Apply a layer of nonabrasive wax to protect the finish. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these could damage the finish. For gloss black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the product.
Perform periodic inspections to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight. This helps ensure the side bars remain properly fastened over time.
