For those who eat, sleep and breathe off-roading, ARIES fender flares show off your off-road tires better than factory flares, and they feature strong, lightweight aluminum construction to easily stand up to the elements. These front inner fender liners are designed to mount with ARIES Jeep JK fender flares #1500201 and provide ultimate protection for your engine compartment against mud, water and road debris. ARIES Jeep inner fender liners are constructed from welded aluminum to not only be lightweight and rust-free, but also to offer better strength than the plastic factory fender liners. They are also covered in a highly durable carbide black powder coat finish for maximum corrosion protection. ARIES front fender liners install securely in conjunction with ARIES fender flares and include all necessary hardware for a complete installation (some drilling and rivet nut installation required). Jeep fender liners are also available for the rear or in a complete kit for the front and rear.

Yes, the ARIES Jeep Wrangler JK Aluminum Front Inner Fender Liners Fender Liner (Part #BBDR1500350) is designed to fit the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler.
The ARIES Jeep Wrangler JK Aluminum Front Inner Fender Liners Fender Liner (Part #BBDR1500350) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
The kit includes 1 driver/left inner fender liner, 1 passenger/right inner fender liner, 4 Z-hanger brackets, 1 thread-set bolt (M6), 1 thread-set washer, 1 thread-set spacer, 22 hex bolts (M6 x 25mm), 22 flat washers (M6), 22 lock washers (M6), 18 rivet nuts (M6), and 1 left-hand nut (M8). The outer fender flares are referenced as optional ("if used").
The manual states the product is for Jeep with front factory flares. The specific year, model, and generation are not detailed in the installation manual. Contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 or visit ariesautomotive.com for complete fitment information.
Required tools are: ratchet, 10mm socket, 13mm socket, 13mm wrench, drill, trim removal tool, and a 25/64" or 10mm drill bit. A 10mm socket is used to remove factory bolts and to torque all hardware during final tightening.
Yes. The manual states that assistance is needed to hold the inner liner and outer fender flare in place until bolts are started (Step 12), and assistance may be required to hold the fender flare and inner fender liner in place while fasteners are started (Step 14). A second person is recommended.
Yes. Step 3 requires you to disconnect the side marker light. If you plan to reuse the side marker light, the wiring harness must be routed and connected before the inner fender liner is installed (Step 12).
Yes. You must drill 25/64" or 10mm holes to fit the M6 threaded metal inserts (rivet nuts) supplied with the kit. The manual specifies: do not make the holes larger than required or the rivet nuts may fail to install. Holes are drilled after removing the factory fender flare and aligning the ARIES flare to the vehicle body.
Use a 25/64" or 10mm drill bit. The manual emphasizes: do not make the holes larger than required or the rivet nuts may fail to install.
1. Remove the factory inner fender liner using a 10mm socket. 2. Remove push-in retainers carefully. 3. Disconnect the side marker light. 4. Remove the plastic fender flare support. 5. Pull the factory fender flare from the vehicle body. 6. Position the ARIES fender flare against the body and align mounting holes. 7. Mark and drill 25/64" or 10mm holes for rivet nuts. 8. Install rivet nuts using the thread-set tool. 9. Install Z-hanger brackets and snug (do not fully tighten). 10. Measure rivet nut hole spacing (should be approximately 7 7/16" center-to-center) and tighten Z-hanger bracket bolts. 11. Install inner fender liner to Z-hanger brackets and snug. 12. Route and connect side marker light wiring if used. 13. Install outer fender flare (if used) and snug. 14. Attach outer fender flare to top support brace and snug. 15. Torque all hardware to specification. 16. Repeat on the opposite side.
Use the supplied thread-set tool: 1. Screw the left-hand nut completely onto the thread-set tool. 2. Slide the metal spacer onto the larger thread until it rests against the M8 left-hand nut. 3. Place an M6 flat washer on the small thread, followed by an M6 rivet nut. 4. Thread the rivet nut onto the small end of the tool until it seats the washer against the shoulder. 5. Insert the rivet nut into the drilled hole. 6. Using a 13mm wrench, hold the M8 nut on the thread-set tool. 7. With a 13mm socket, turn the bolt head clockwise until the M8 nut and metal spacer contact the M6 washer and rivet nut. 8. After tension is felt, carefully compress the rivet nut in the hole while applying slight pressure to keep it seated (approximately two full rotations). Caution: over-tightening may damage the thread-set tool and/or vehicle panel.
Do not fully tighten bolts until the final step. Z-hanger brackets are snugged in Step 10, then fully tightened in Step 11 after measuring rivet nut hole spacing. The inner fender liner is snugged in Step 13, the outer fender flare is snugged in Steps 14 and 15, and all hardware is fully torqued in Step 16 using a 10mm socket.
M6 bolts must be torqued to 3 ft.-lbs. This applies to all M6 hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers used throughout the installation.
The M8 bolt must be torqued to 7 ft.-lbs. This is the left-hand nut used with the thread-set tool during rivet nut installation.
The center-to-center distance should be approximately 7 7/16". Measure the rivet nut hole locations on the Z-hanger brackets and adjust as needed before tightening the Z-hanger bracket bolts to the vehicle.
Over-tightening the rivet nut may damage the thread-set tool and/or vehicle panel. Only compress the rivet nut enough to seat it in the hole without rotating. After tension is felt, carefully compress the rivet nut while applying slight pressure to keep it seated, approximately two full rotations.
Take care not to damage the plastic inner fender liner when removing push-in retainers. Use a trim removal tool and work carefully to avoid cracking or breaking the plastic.
Do not make the drilled holes larger than required for the M6 rivet nuts, or the rivet nuts may fail to install. Use the specified 25/64" or 10mm drill bit and do not enlarge the holes.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. With the fender flares and inner fender liners installed, check that bolts have not loosened due to vibration or use. For black finishes, mild soap may be used to clean the product.
The kit is designed for Jeep with front factory flares. Confirm fitment by contacting ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 or visiting ariesautomotive.com, as the manual does not specify year, model, or generation.
You need a ratchet, 10mm and 13mm sockets, 13mm wrench, drill, trim removal tool, and a 25/64" or 10mm drill bit. A second person is recommended to hold components during installation.
Yes. You must drill 25/64" or 10mm holes for the M6 rivet nuts. Do not make holes larger than required or the rivet nuts may fail to install.
All M6 bolts must be torqued to 3 ft.-lbs. The M8 left-hand nut used with the thread-set tool is torqued to 7 ft.-lbs. Torque all hardware in the final step using a 10mm socket.
Over-tightening rivet nuts may damage the thread-set tool and/or vehicle panel. Compress rivet nuts only enough to seat them in the hole, approximately two full rotations after tension is felt. Do not enlarge drilled holes or rivet nuts may fail to install.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. For black finishes, clean with mild soap. Refer to the torque specifications on page 1 if you need to retighten any bolts.
Check that the drilled hole is the correct size (25/64" or 10mm). If the hole is too large, the rivet nut may fail to install. Do not enlarge the holes beyond the specified size. Ensure you are using the thread-set tool correctly: compress the rivet nut approximately two full rotations after tension is felt, applying slight pressure to keep it seated. If the hole is damaged or oversized, the rivet nut will not hold; the hole may need to be re-drilled or relocated.
Over-tightening the rivet nut may damage the thread-set tool and/or vehicle panel. To prevent this, only compress the rivet nut enough to seat it in the hole without rotating, approximately two full rotations after tension is felt. If the tool is damaged, stop installation and contact ARIES Automotive at 877.287.8634 for a replacement tool or further assistance.
