ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow for full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ram 1500, 1500 Classic and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

(6) Place the side bar onto the brackets and secure with M10 bolts. (7) Adjust and level the side bar. (8) Tighten all brackets to the vehicle first, then side bar connections. (9) Repeat steps 1-8 on the passenger side.

The front bracket is secured in three locations: (1) At the top, insert an M12 bolt plate with a plastic retainer, then secure with an M12 lock washer, flat washer and hex nut. (2) At the bottom, insert two M8 hex bolts with lock washers and flat washers. If your vehicle does not have M8 threaded inserts, align the M10 nut on the M12 bolt plate with a hole location on the bracket and secure using an M10 hex bolt, lock washer and flat washer instead.
Both middle and rear brackets are secured the same way: (1) Insert an M12 bolt plate at the top mounting position with a plastic retainer. (2) Secure with an M12 flat washer, lock washer and hex nut. (3) Secure the bottom with two M8 hex bolts, lock washers and flat washers. If your vehicle lacks M8 threaded inserts, use an M10 hex bolt, lock washer and flat washer instead, aligned with the M10 nut on the M12 bolt plate.
Place the side bar onto the mounting brackets and align the mounting points. Ensure the rivet nuts on the bottom of the side bar line up with the brackets. Secure the side bar to the brackets using an M10 hex bolt, lock washer and flat washer at each mounting location. Snug the hardware but do not fully tighten until after adjusting and leveling.
