ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow for full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

You will need a ratchet, torque wrench, socket set, and level. These are listed as the required tools for installation.
The S225045 includes: 1 driver-side 4" sidebar, 1 passenger-side 4" sidebar, 6 universal mounting brackets, 12 M10 hex bolts, 12 M10 flat washers, 12 M10 lock washers, 18 M8 nylon lock nuts, and 18 M8 flat washers.
Installation follows this sequence: (1) On the driver side, locate the three factory mounting tabs along the bottom edge of the vehicle. (2) Remove debris from the factory studs at the front mounting location. (3) Attach a mounting bracket using an M8 nylon lock nut and flat washer; snug but do not fully tighten. Repeat for middle and rear locations. (4) Position the driver-side sidebar onto the brackets and attach using M10 hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers. (5) Repeat steps 1–3 for the passenger side. (6) Once all brackets and sidebars are positioned, fully tighten all hardware to the specified torque values.
No. During initial installation, snug the hardware but do not fully tighten it. This applies to both the M8 nylon lock nuts on the mounting brackets and the M10 hex bolts on the sidebars. Only fully tighten all hardware once all brackets and sidebars are positioned on both sides of the vehicle.
M10 bolts must be torqued to 16 ft-lbs. This applies to the M10 hex bolts that attach the sidebars to the mounting brackets.
M8 bolts must be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. This applies to the M8 nylon lock nuts that attach the mounting brackets to the factory studs.
Yes. Before attaching the mounting brackets, remove any debris from the factory studs at each mounting location. This ensures proper seating of the hardware and a secure installation.
Periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. To protect the product finish, wax the side bars after installation. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer. Do not use abrasive polishes, waxes containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes, as these may damage the finish. Mild automotive detergent may be used for cleaning. For polished, gloss, and other smooth finishes, non-abrasive polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs.
