ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow for full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

The kit includes: 1 driver-side 4" sidebar, 1 passenger-side 4" sidebar, 6 universal mounting brackets, 12 M10 hex bolts, 12 M10 flat washers, 12 M10 lock washers, 18 M8 nylon lock nuts, and 18 M8 flat washers.
You will need: a ratchet, torque wrench, socket set, and level.
M10 bolts should be torqued to 16 ft-lbs.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs.

The S225045-2 is an ARIES 4" side bar kit manufactured by CURT Group. It consists of two 4" sidebars (one for the driver side and one for the passenger side) that mount to the vehicle using universal mounting brackets and factory studs.
Read all instructions thoroughly before beginning. Locate the three mounting tabs along the bottom edge of the vehicle on the driver side. Remove any debris from the factory studs at the front, middle and rear mounting locations. Proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce time required.
1. On the driver side, locate the three mounting tabs along the bottom edge. 2. At the front mounting location, remove debris from factory studs and attach a mounting bracket using an M8 nylon lock nut and flat washer; snug but do not fully tighten. 3. Repeat for middle and rear locations. 4. Position the driver-side sidebar onto the brackets and attach using M10 hex bolts, flat washers and lock washers. 5. Repeat steps 1–3 for the passenger side. 6. Torque all fasteners to specification.
