B&W Trailer Hitches is an American manufacturer known for durable, innovative towing products, including gooseneck hitches, fifth-wheel hitches, receiver hitches, and ball mounts. Built in Kansas by employee-owners, B&W products are engineered for dependable performance, easy installation, and long-lasting quality.
B&W Trailer Hitches is an American manufacturer known for building innovative, dependable towing products designed to make hitching easier and towing more comfortable. The company began in 1987 in Humboldt, Kansas, when founders Roger Baker and Joe Works combined their fabrication experience to build custom truck beds and solve common problems faced by truck owners.
B&W changed the gooseneck hitch industry with the introduction of the Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch. Its under-bed mounting system and reversible hitch ball allowed truck owners to quickly store the ball beneath the bed, leaving a clean and unobstructed surface when the hitch was not in use. B&W later applied the same practical approach to the Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch, creating a removable fifth-wheel hitch engineered for a quiet, smooth, and secure towing experience.
Today, B&W manufactures gooseneck hitches, fifth-wheel hitches, receiver hitches, ball mounts, and towing accessories at its nearly 600,000-square-foot facility. The company is owned by approximately 500 employee-owners who remain committed to American manufacturing, trusted materials, skilled craftsmanship, and long-lasting product quality.
Whether you are towing a work trailer, livestock trailer, camper, or fifth wheel, B&W Trailer Hitches offers thoughtfully engineered towing equipment built to perform mile after mile.

The 2011-2016 Ford F250 & F350 B&W Custom Installation Kit For Universal Mounting Rails For Some Ford Trucks RVK2401 (Part #BQVLRVK2401) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the RVK2401 (part number 2401-100) is designed for 2011–2016 Ford F250 and F350 trucks. It is compatible with both 6'6" short bed and 8' long bed configurations. Verify your truck model and bed length before ordering.
The mounting rails require a Patriot 5th wheel or Slider Base to function. The base attaches to the forward mounting rail via pin tabs and attachment points. The base must be ordered separately if not included with your kit.
Yes, it is acceptable to install the mounting rails over a spray-in bed liner. However, if your truck has a removable bed liner or mat, it must be removed or cut to allow the mounting rails to connect directly with the bed.
The kit includes two frame brackets (one driver side, one passenger side), two mounting rails, and two bolt bags. Bolt Bag #1 contains ten 1/2" × 2" carriage bolts, seventeen 1/2" flat washers, fourteen 1/2" split lock washers, fourteen 1/2" finish nuts, and four 1/2" × 1 1/2" hex cap screws. Bolt Bag #2 contains ten 5/16" U-shaped spacers and eleven offset rectangle washers.
Required tools include an impact wrench or ratchet with 15/16" and 3/4" sockets, 15/16" and 3/4" box end wrenches, a drill with 1/8" and 9/16" drill bits, a tape measure, a torque wrench, a center punch tool, a flashlight, a hammer, eye protection, and ear protection.
If your truck has a removable bed liner or mat, it must be removed or cut to allow the mounting rails to connect directly with the bed. Spray-in bed liners do not need to be removed.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill five holes in the rear mounting rail location and five holes in the forward mounting rail location. Holes are first marked with a center punch, drilled with a 1/8" bit as pilots, then enlarged to 9/16" using the pilot holes as guides. The fuel tank may be directly below the drilling area—examine the underside of the truck before drilling to avoid damage.
The rear mounting rail should be positioned 32 5/8" from the rear edge of the bed (not the tailgate) and centered side-to-side in the bed. The forward mounting rail is positioned in front of the rear rail. Hole locations are marked using a center punch and the mounting rail as a guide. See Figure A2 in the manual for the exact drill location pattern for both rails.
You need a 1/8" drill bit for pilot holes and a 9/16" drill bit to enlarge them to final size. The 1/8" holes are drilled first to mark locations and ensure alignment with the frame brackets. The 9/16" holes are then drilled using the 1/8" holes as guides.
1. Layout and mark the rear mounting rail location. 2. Drill pilot holes (1/8") and enlarge to 9/16". 3. Install driver side frame bracket (hand-tighten only). 4. Install passenger side frame bracket (hand-tighten only). 5. Install rear mounting rail with carriage bolts and U-shaped spacers (hand-tighten). 6. Position forward mounting rail with the base attached. 7. Drill forward mounting holes using the same method. 8. Install forward mounting rail with carriage bolts and U-shaped spacers (hand-tighten). 9. Torque all 1/2" nuts to 80 ft-lbs.
Use two 1/2" × 1 1/2" hex cap screws and two 1/2" flat washers. Pass the cap screws through the sideplate and frame from the outside. Secure the sideplate on the inside of the frame with two 1/2" flat washers, 1/2" lock washers, and 1/2" finish nuts. Do not tighten at this time—hand-tighten only until all brackets and rails are installed.
Use two 1/2" × 1 1/2" hex cap screws. Use an offset rectangle washer in the forward hole and a regular 1/2" flat washer in the rear hole.
1. Reposition the rear mounting rail over the drilled 9/16" holes in the bed. 2. Install a 1/2" carriage bolt through the mounting rail into each of the five drilled holes. 3. Under the bed, install an offset square washer, 1/2" flat washers, 1/2" lock washers, and 1/2" finish nuts on each carriage bolt. 4. Place U-shaped spacers in the gaps between the mounting rail and bed or between the bed and side brackets. 5. Hand-tighten each nut. Do not fully tighten until all rails are installed.
U-shaped spacers are space fillers that account for the corrugation in the truck bed. They must be placed in the gap either above the bed (between the mounting rail and the bed) or below the bed (between the bed and the side mounting brackets). Failure to use U-shaped spacers will result in property damage when hardware is tightened. The kit includes ten 5/16" U-shaped spacers.
1. Place the forward mounting rail in the truck bed in front of the rear mounting rail. 2. Place the Patriot 5th wheel or Slider Base over the rail attachment points. 3. Carefully lower the base until the pin tabs pass through the attachment points on the rear mounting rail. 4. Attach the forward mounting rail to the forward mounting points on the base. 5. The base should rest flat against the top of the rails. 6. Ensure the forward rail is centered in the truck bed. Before drilling forward holes, pull the base towards the rear of the truck and push the forward rail towards the cab to correctly space the mounting rails.
1. Reposition the forward mounting rail over the drilled 9/16" holes in the bed. 2. Install a 1/2" carriage bolt through the mounting rail into each of the five drilled holes. 3. Under the bed, install offset square washers, 1/2" flat washers, 1/2" lock washers, and 1/2" finish nuts on each carriage bolt. 4. Hand-tighten each nut. Do not fully tighten until all hardware is installed.
All 1/2" nuts in the mounting rails and frame brackets must be torqued to 80 ft-lbs using a torque wrench. Torque all mounting rail nuts first, then all frame bracket nuts. Do not tighten any hardware until all rails and brackets are installed and hand-tightened.
Before drilling, carefully examine the area under the truck where modification will occur. The fuel tank may be directly below the bed drilling area. Ensure the tank or other equipment is not damaged during drilling. Damage to the fuel tank may result in property damage, serious injury, or death. Wear eye protection and ear protection during drilling.
Do not exceed the tow or tongue rating of the coupler, hitch, truck, or trailer. Consult vehicle and trailer manufacturer information for ratings. Do not modify the product—doing so could alter its integrity and cause loss of attachment. Understand all towing risks before proceeding. For towing safety information, see "The Trailer Handbook" from the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (www.NATM.com) and your trailer manufacturer's owner's manual. Installation must be completed by someone knowledgeable of the hazards involved and proper safety procedures.
Additional caution must be used when towing a wedge car trailer. Keep the center of gravity as low as possible by loading heavy cars over the axles. Never tow with a single car on the front of the trailer. Never exceed speeds that are reasonable for the roadway conditions (e.g., turns, curves). Failure to account for proper trailer center of gravity and reasonable speeds may cause damage to the truck, trailer, towing components, and loss of attachment.
Regularly check that all bolted connections are at the correct torque specification (80 ft-lbs for 1/2" nuts). A visual inspection should be performed before each time you tow. Ensure all fasteners remain tight and no components show signs of damage or movement.
Yes, the RVK2401 (part number 2401-100) fits 2011–2016 Ford F250 and F350 trucks with both 6'6" short bed and 8' long bed configurations.
A Patriot 5th wheel or Slider Base is required. The base attaches to the forward mounting rail and must be ordered separately if not included.
Yes, you must drill ten holes total (five for the rear rail, five for the forward rail) using 1/8" pilot bits and 9/16" final bits. Examine the underside of the truck first to avoid damaging the fuel tank.
You need a drill with 1/8" and 9/16" bits, torque wrench, impact wrench or ratchet with 15/16" and 3/4" sockets, tape measure, center punch, flashlight, hammer, and eye and ear protection.
All 1/2" nuts must be torqued to 80 ft-lbs using a torque wrench. Torque mounting rail nuts first, then frame bracket nuts.
Removable bed liners must be removed or cut. Spray-in bed liners do not need to be removed.
Regularly check all bolted connections are torqued to 80 ft-lbs. Perform a visual inspection before each tow.
The 1/8" pilot holes must be centered within the slots in the frame brackets. If they are not centered, re-drill the 1/8" holes until the brackets and drilled holes are aligned. Do this before enlarging the holes to 9/16". Misalignment at this stage will cause difficulty during installation and may result in property damage.
The U-shaped spacers may not be properly placed. U-shaped spacers must be installed in the gaps between the mounting rail and bed (above) or between the bed and side mounting brackets (below) to account for bed corrugation. Failure to use spacers will result in property damage when hardware is tightened. Verify that spacers are in place before final torquing.
The fuel tank or other equipment may be directly below the drilling area. Stop immediately and examine the underside of the truck carefully. Do not drill if the fuel tank or other critical components are in the way. Damage to the fuel tank may result in property damage, serious injury, or death.
