Gooseneck equipment is the brand's signature. Gooseneck hitches mount in the truck bed over the rear axle, which places the load where the chassis can carry it properly and allows far tighter turning than a receiver hitch permits. Matching gooseneck couplers attach at the trailer end, in round tube and square configurations across the capacity range used by livestock, equipment and flatbed trailers.
The conventional trailer coupler range is built around the Wedge-Latch mechanism, which uses a wedge to take up wear between coupler and ball rather than relying on a fixed clamp that loosens over time. That matters on a trailer accumulating hard miles, where slack in the coupling shows up as noise and shock loading. Couplers are offered in A-frame form for standard tongues and in channel-mount form for straight tongue and fabricated frames, with adjustable channel versions that let a coupler be positioned to suit the tongue height.

How to Maintain Your BULLDOG® Square Tube Jack
The 12,000 lb Square Jack has a maximum rated capacity of 12,000 lb. However, the actual capacity is limited to the lesser of the jack, footplate, or caster wheel capacity. Always refer to the stamped markings or decals on the product to confirm the rated capacity for your specific unit. The jack has a 2-speed shift pattern where the handle moves 5/8' to 3/4' while shifting. High gear is engaged when the shaft is pushed in, and low gear is engaged when the shaft is pulled out. This clearance must be accounted for during installation to prevent interference with the tow vehicle, tongue, or other accessories.

For direct mount installation, three 2' long 1/4' fillet welds must be placed on both sides of the jack along the contacting surface, positioned as far apart as possible to maximize strength under load. For pivot tube mounting, the non-beveled side of the pivot tube is welded to the tongue with a 1/4' fillet weld all around.
The pivot tube mount includes a supplied pin to secure the jack to the pivot tube after the pivot tube has been welded to the tongue. The pivot pin must be fully inserted through both sides of the pivot tube and the pivot mount before using the jack.

For spring return drop legs: 1) Verify the jack is not supporting any load. 2) If extended, place your foot on the foot plate to control the return. 3) Disengage the drop leg pin by rotating to the disengaged position. 4) Carefully move the drop leg to the desired position using your foot. 5) Engage the drop leg pin by rotating it to the engaged position and into the desired adjustment hole. 6) Verify the drop leg pin is fully inserted by checking for no clearance between the pin and housing. For non-spring return drop legs, grasp the handle of the foot plate to control the fall instead of using your foot.
