The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. The CURT 11001 includes: 2 carriage bolts (1/2-13 x 1 1/4"), 4 hex flange nuts (HFN 1213), 4 hex bolts (1/2-13 x 2 1/2"), 4 conical toothed washers (1/2"), 2 pieces of 1/2" fishwire, 2 carriage bolts (1/2-13 x 2"), 2 square hole spacers (CM-SP6), and 1 nut plate weldment (CM-NP1W).
1. Raise the nut plate and mounting strap into position around the vehicle crossmember and secure with 1/2-13 x 2 1/2" hex bolts and 1/2" conical toothed washers. 2. Raise the hitch weldment past the fascia lip and secure to the mounting strap using 1/2-13 x 1 1/4" carriage bolts and 1/2-13 flange nuts. 3. Press the hitch against the bottom of the bumper beam, mark hole locations with a center punch, lower the hitch, and drill with a 17/32" drill bit. 4. Fishwire the 1/2-13 x 2" carriage bolts and SP6 spacers through the access holes and secure with 1/2-13 flange nuts. 5. Torque all 1/2" hardware to 75 ft-lbs.
