Connect to your lifestyle with a custom hitch receiver from CURT. All of our custom hitches are designed for a vehicle-specific fit, manufactured with pride, finished for industry-leading rust resistance and tested to rigorous SAE J684 standards for safety. This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Honda Crosstour and Accord Crosstour (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you?re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

The CURT 11002 is designed for use with ball mount model D-18 / 45518. Verify you have the correct ball mount before installation.
The CURT 11002 is rated for a maximum of 2,000 lbs trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight when used as a weight-carrying hitch. You must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower than the hitch rating.
Required tools are: 10, 13, 14, and 16 mm sockets; 13, 14, and 16 mm wrenches; 3 inch socket extension; ratchet; torque wrench; pry bar; and aviation shears. Safety glasses should be worn at all times during installation.
No, drilling is not required. The hitch uses existing weld nuts on the frame rails and bumper support of the Honda Accord Crosstour.
Yes, heat shield trimming is required. You must remove the three bolts securing each heat shield, trim approximately 4 inches on each side as shown in the heat shield trim diagram, and then reinstall the heat shields.
You do not need to fully remove the exhaust, but you must lower it. Remove the three rear-most rubber isolators on each side of the exhaust, gently spread the exhaust to allow the mufflers to pass by the spare tire carrier, and support the exhaust system to prevent damage. After hitch installation, reinstall the rubber isolators.
Rubber isolators are the mounts that support the exhaust system. The CURT 11002 installation requires removing the three rear-most rubber isolators on each side of the exhaust to lower the exhaust and allow the mufflers to clear the spare tire carrier. These isolators are reinstalled after the hitch is secured.
The hitch includes: two 7/16-14 x 1.5 inch hex bolts with two 3/8 inch washers and two 7/16-14 hex flange nuts; two M8-1.25 x 35 hex bolts with two 5/16 inch lock washers and two 5/16 inch flat washers; and two M10-1.25 x 35 hex bolts with two 3/8 inch conical toothed washers. All fasteners attach to existing weld nuts on the vehicle.
1. Lower the exhaust by removing the three rear-most rubber isolators on each side and gently spreading the exhaust. Support it to prevent damage. 2. Remove the existing M8 bolts from the bottom of the bumper support on each side and return them to the vehicle owner. 3. Remove the three bolts from each heat shield, trim them as shown, and reinstall. 4. Raise the hitch and loosely secure it to the frame rails using M10 hex bolts and conical toothed washers into existing weld nuts. 5. Secure the hitch to the lower bumper support using M8 hex bolts, 5/16 inch lock washers, and 5/16 inch flat washers on both sides. Insert 7/16 inch hex bolts with 3/8 inch flat washers into existing holes and secure with 7/16 inch hex flange nuts. 6. Torque all fasteners. 7. Raise the exhaust and reinstall the rubber isolators.
Torque all M8 hardware to 23 ft-lbs, all M10 hardware to 45 ft-lbs, and all 7/16 inch hardware to 70 ft-lbs.
Two people may be required to ease installation. The manual notes that using proper tools will greatly improve the quality of the install and reduce the time required.
Safety glasses should be worn at all times while installing this product. When lowering the exhaust, support the exhaust system to prevent damage. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
All non-trailer loads (wheel-less loads) applied to this hitch must be supported by auxiliary stabilizing straps. CURT recommends the use of model 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer loads. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This ongoing maintenance is essential to safe operation.
The manual states you should periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. Specific intervals are not provided; consult CURT technical support at 1-800-798-0813 for recommended maintenance schedules.
