Connect to your lifestyle with a custom hitch receiver from CURT. All of our custom hitches are designed for a vehicle-specific fit, manufactured with pride, finished for industry-leading rust resistance and tested to rigorous SAE J684 standards for safety. This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Chevrolet Cruze (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you?re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

The CURT 11458 is rated for a maximum trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 200 lbs when used as a weight-carrying hitch. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower than these ratings.
The CURT 11458 is designed for use with ballmount #45521. Euro mount options are available: #45571 (1 7/8" ball) and #45572 (2" ball).
You will need: a ratchet, 6" socket extension, 13mm and 11/16" sockets, needle nose pliers, aviation shears, a torque wrench, and safety glasses. Safety glasses must be worn at all times during installation.

Yes, heat shield trimming is required. You must temporarily remove the heat shield by removing 6 retention nuts with needle nose pliers, then trim it following the trim diagram provided, removing a 3" x 3" square. After trimming, reinstall the heat shield using only the center retention nuts.
Yes, you must temporarily lower the exhaust. Use a 13mm socket to remove 2 nuts from each exhaust hanger. There is a plastic clip on the exhaust hanger that must be pushed out of the way to allow the exhaust to be lowered. After installing the hitch, reinstall the exhaust using the nuts you removed.
Two people may be required to ease installation. If you are hesitant to undertake this task on your own, contact an authorized CURT installer for additional assistance.
The 7/16" bolts must be torqued to 59 ft-lbs. Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightening.
The kit includes: 4 carriage bolts (7/16-14 x 1 1/2), 4 square hole spacers (.250 x .88 x 2.25", part number CM-SP2), 4 hex flange nuts (7/16-14), and 4 pieces of 7/16" fishwire.
All non-trailer (wheel-less) loads applied to this hitch must be supported by CURT 18050 stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty. CURT recommends the use of 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer loads.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain the integrity and safety of the installation.
The CURT 11458 complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
