They can be used for mounting a winch, a snow plow, a number of towing accessories and can even be used for some trailering applications. When space is limited, a front trailer hitch is commonly used to hold a cargo carrier, freeing up space inside the vehicle for extra cargo and making the rear mount receiver available to pull a trailer. 1. Insert the carriage bolt spacers through the frame access slot on the inside surface of the frame. 2. Use the fishwire provided to install the carriage bolts into the frame, passing the fishwire through the spacer before attaching it to the bolt. Install the rear bolt first, the center bolt second, and the front bolt last on both sides. 3. Raise the hitch into position and attach a 7/16-inch flange nut to each bolt. Trim front fascia as needed for hitch clearance. 4. Torque all fasteners to 59 ft-lbs.
