In the world of commercial towing, more is expected. A job cannot be completed if the equipment cannot handle the workload. That is why CURT developed the Commercial Duty class 5 trailer hitch. Constructed from steel and engineered for power, these class 5 hitches are designed to complement the towing power of full-size, commercial pickup trucks, including diesels and chassis cabs. They can easily handle a variety of oversize trailers, including toy and car haulers, livestock trailers, dumper trailers, large flatbed trailers, large boat trailers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component). This particular class 5 hitch features a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 2,700 lbs. It is designed to be a custom trailer hitch for certain years of the Ford F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty, F550 Super Duty and F650 (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). All CURT Commercial Duty class 5 hitches feature a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" receiver tube opening to accept the strongest of ball mounts and towing accessories. They are perfect for mounting standard ball mounts, pintle mounts, tow hooks and weight distribution hitches as well as winch mounts and cargo carriers. CURT class 5 tow hitches are protected by a co-curing of liquid A-coat and carbide black powder coat finish. They also mount with grade-8 hardware, included with each hitch.

Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.

Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

This CURT 15845 Commercial Duty Class 5 hitch is specifically engineered for select Ford F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, F-550 Super Duty, and F-650 models from 1999-2020 (F-350), 1999-2026 (F-450 and F-550), and 2000-2026 (F-650). The vehicle-specific design ensures a custom fit for these heavy-duty Ford trucks. Always verify your exact year, make, and model before ordering to ensure proper compatibility.
Unfortunately, the CURT 15845 Commercial Duty hitch only fits 1999-2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty models, so it won't work on your 2026 F-350. However, if you have a 2026 F-450 or F-550 Super Duty, this hitch would be compatible since those models are covered through 2026.
Yes, the CURT 15845 is a perfect match for your 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty. This commercial-duty hitch covers F-350 models from 1999-2020, so your truck falls right in the compatibility range. You'll get the full 20,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 2,700 lbs tongue weight capacity with the custom-engineered fit.
The CURT 15845 is rated as a novice-level installation with an estimated install time of just 30 minutes. It comes with all the grade-8 installation hardware you need, and drilling is required for proper mounting. Basic hand tools are typically sufficient to complete the installation on your Ford Super Duty truck.

Yes, drilling is required. You must drill one hole on each side of the frame using a 19/32" drill bit. The hole location is marked by raising the hitch into position and marking the hole furthest from the bumper before drilling.
Use a 19/32" drill bit to drill the required mounting holes in the frame.
1. Raise the hitch into position and clamp it in place, using the rivet clearance holes in the side plates for alignment. 2. Mark the hole furthest from the bumper for drilling, then drill it using a 19/32" drill bit (both sides). 3. Fasten the hitch to the frame, fastening the holes in the back of the frame first, then the drilled holes in the front. 4. Attach the mounting plates to the hitch and fasten to the truck. 5. Torque all fasteners.
Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs.
Torque all 9/16" hardware to 130 ft-lbs.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure that all fasteners are tight and that all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain safe operation and extends the life of the hitch.
