A custom 5th wheel bracket features a shape that contours to the frame of your truck and uses pre-drilled holes in the frame wherever possible to make installation quick and easy. Depending on your model of pickup truck, they also reduce or eliminate the need for drilling. These particular custom 5th wheel brackets offer a custom fit for certain model years of the Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). Finished in a durable liquid A-coat, CURT custom 5th wheel brackets are made to last. They include all necessary mounting hardware and are designed to be used in conjunction with CURT industry-standard 5th wheel base rails #16104 or #16204 (base rails sold separately).

Temporarily position the side plate on the outside of the frame and verify that the punches align with the slots of the side plate. Remove the side plate and mounting rail, then drill the holes in the truck bed floor at the marked locations. Do not drill into the frame.
Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft and all 3/4" fasteners to 380 lb-ft. Torque the mounting rails to the side plates first, then torque the remaining fasteners.

1. Center the first mounting rail between the weld seams and at the correct distance from the rear edge. 2. Mark and center punch the holes. 3. Drill 1/8" holes, then enlarge to 9/16". 4. Install the driver side plate with 1/2" x 1.5" carriage bolts and spacers, tighten snug. 5. Install the passenger side plate the same way. 6. Reposition the mounting rail over the holes. 7. Install 1/2" x 2" carriage bolts with U-shaped spacers in the corrugation, tighten snug. 8. Position the second mounting rail with the 5th wheel hitch by inserting tabs and pushing tight. 9. Repeat steps 3-8 for the second rail. 10. Install 3/4" x 2.5" hex bolts with round hole spacers in the center holes. 11. Torque all fasteners (1/2" to 110 lb-ft, 3/4" to 380 lb-ft), rails to side plates first.
On diesel models, the DEF tank blocks normal access to the front driver side bolt location. Instead of installing the 1/2" x 1.5" carriage bolt normally, use the included 1/2" fishwire to secure it into position. Thread the fishwire through the bolt and secure it in place.
Tighten fasteners snug during initial installation to keep components from moving, but do not fully torque them until all components are positioned. After the second mounting rail is positioned and all fasteners are installed, torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft and all 3/4" fasteners to 380 lb-ft, torquing the mounting rails to the side plates first.
Place the unassembled 5th wheel, roller or gooseneck hitch into the already-installed first mounting rail. Position the second mounting rail with the hitch by inserting the tabs into the mounting rail and pushing the mounting rail tight towards the first rail. Ensure the second mounting rail is centered between the weld seams on the truck box floor. If more than one hitch product will be used with the rails, use both at the same time to align the second rail and ensure one product does not compromise the fit of the other.
If the sensor control module is located on the inside of the frame rail and prevents installation of the 3/4" x 2.5" hex bolts, relocate the sensor control module using the included relocation bracket. See the sensor control module relocation diagram on page 1 for details.
