Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Yes. As the first step, lower the vehicle exhaust by lowering the exhaust hanger on the passenger side. This provides clearance for hitch installation. After the hitch is installed, you will reattach the exhaust hanger in step 7.
Only if your vehicle is equipped with a load leveling compressor on the driver's side. If present, lower it using one M10 bolt and two M6 nuts. If necessary, trim the vertical tab on the compressor bracket to clear the adjacent M10 bolt. After hitch installation, you will reattach the compressor in step 7.
Yes. Using the rearmost holes in the hitch side brackets as a template, you must drill 1/2" holes in the vehicle frame rails. On 2004 and older long wheelbase models, you will also need to drill a 1/2" hole through the frame at the forwardmost hole on the passenger's side bracket. On 2004 and older short wheelbase models, the forwardmost hole will line up with an existing slot. On 2005 and newer models, the forwardmost slot will line up with an existing weldnut.
Only if necessary. If the vertical tab on the compressor bracket interferes with the adjacent M10 bolt, trim it to clear the bolt. This is not required on all vehicles.
No. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Use a drill with a 1/2" drill bit instead.
1. Lower the exhaust hanger on the passenger side. 2. If present, lower the load leveling compressor on the driver's side. 3. Raise the hitch into position and install M10 × 1.50" × 35mm CL10.9 bolts and 3/8" conical washers into existing weldnuts on both sides. 4. Using the rearmost holes as a template, drill 1/2" holes in the frame rails. 5. On the passenger's side, use the provided pull wire to route the carriage bolt and blocks through the existing slot, then secure with blocks, lock washers and nuts (configuration varies by model year and wheelbase). 6. Install handle nuts and hex bolts through the rearmost holes on both sides. 7. Reattach the exhaust hanger and load leveling compressor. 8. Tighten all fasteners to specification using a torque wrench.
Use the provided 1/2" pull wire to fish the carriage bolt and blocks through the existing slot in the frame rail down into the forwardmost hole. The exact block configuration depends on your model year and wheelbase: on 2004 and older short wheelbase models, place two blocks between the frame rail and hitch; on 2004 and older long wheelbase models, place two blocks between the hitch and lock washer; on 2005 and newer models, install an M10 × 1.50" × 35mm CL10.9 bolt and 3/8" conical washer through the vehicle fender support bar, then through the slot in the hitch and into the existing weldnut in the frame.
Install the handle nuts through the square hole inside the vehicle frame rail on both sides. Then install a hex bolt and lock washer through the rearmost hole (drilled in step 4) on both sides.
Tighten all M10 CL10.9 fasteners with a torque wrench to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).
Tighten all 1/2-13 GR5 fasteners with a torque wrench to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m).
Tighten all M6 CL8.8 fasteners with a torque wrench to 5 lb-ft (7 N·m).
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Use proper lifting and support techniques. After installation, check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened.
