Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

The Draw-tite Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black for Select Ford Flex, Lincoln MKT 75679 (Part #DT75679) fits 2009-2019 Ford Flex models. The 2019 model year is the last year covered by this part number. For newer models, check for an updated version.
The Draw-tite Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black for Select Ford Flex, Lincoln MKT 75679 (Part #DT75679) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes. Part number 75679 is designed for Ford Flex, Ford Flex EcoBoost, and Lincoln MKT. Alternative part numbers for the same application are 87571, 44636, and 78189 (U-Haul version). The installation procedure is the same across all three vehicle models, except that Ford Flex EcoBoost and Lincoln MKT have dual exhaust systems, requiring the installation steps to be repeated on both the driver and passenger sides.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 4000 lb (1816 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 400 lb (182 kg). This applies to both weight-distributing and weight-carrying ball mount configurations. However, you must not exceed the lower of this hitch's rating or your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating.
The fastener kit (75679F) includes 4 hex bolts M12 x 1.75 x 40mm CL8.8 and 4 conical toothed washers ½". These fasteners attach the exhaust hanger bracket to the hitch bracket. The existing weld nuts on the vehicle frame are reused.
You will need wrenches in 18mm and 19mm sizes, a torque wrench, and a 6" ratchet extension (for Ford Flex). You will also need lubricant or soapy water to ease removal and reinstallation of rubber exhaust hangers and isolators. A screwdriver or pry bar is needed to remove the rubber hangers.
No, you do not need to fully remove the exhaust system. However, you must lower the exhaust by removing two bolts that attach the exhaust hanger bracket to the driver's side frame rail. You must also detach the rubber isolator from the front exhaust hanger located forward of the muffler, just behind the rear axle. The exhaust system must be supported while you remove the rubber hangers to prevent the muffler from falling. After the hitch is installed, the exhaust is raised back into position and reattached to the rubber isolators.
Yes. Ford Flex EcoBoost and Lincoln MKT models have dual exhaust systems. For these vehicles, you must repeat all the exhaust removal and hitch installation steps on both the driver's side and passenger's side. Single exhaust Ford Flex models require the procedure only on the driver's side.
1. Spray lubricant on the rubber exhaust hangers. 2. Lower the exhaust by removing two bolts from the exhaust hanger bracket on the driver's side frame rail. 3. Remove all rubber hangers from the exhaust system while supporting it. 4. Detach the rubber isolator from the front exhaust hanger (forward of muffler, behind rear axle). 5. Rotate the hitch into position over the exhaust and align the slots to the existing weld nuts. 6. Reattach the exhaust hanger bracket to the underside of the hitch bracket. 7. Install the four hex bolts and conical toothed washers. 8. Tighten all fasteners to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N·M). 9. Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the rubber isolators. For dual exhaust vehicles, repeat steps 1–9 on the passenger side.
All M12 x 1.75 CL8.8 hex bolts must be tightened to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. When removing and reinstalling rubber exhaust hangers and isolators, support the exhaust system to prevent the muffler from falling under its own weight. Spray lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator to ease removal and reinstallation.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify a retorque interval, but recommends regular inspection.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch.
Yes, part number 75679 (and alternatives 87571, 44636, 78189) fit all three vehicles. Ford Flex EcoBoost and Lincoln MKT have dual exhaust and require installation on both sides.
Maximum gross trailer weight is 4000 lb (1816 kg) and maximum tongue weight is 400 lb (182 kg). Do not exceed the lower of this rating or your vehicle manufacturer's rating.
You need 18mm and 19mm wrenches, a torque wrench, a 6" ratchet extension (for Ford Flex), a screwdriver or pry bar, and lubricant or soapy water.
All M12 x 1.75 CL8.8 hex bolts must be tightened to 68 Lb.-Ft. (92 N·M) with a torque wrench.
Wear eye protection. Do not cut holes with a torch. Support the exhaust system to prevent the muffler from falling. Use lubricant to ease removal of rubber hangers and isolators.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
