Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Yes, the 76134 hitch fits 2013-current Toyota Rav4 models. Visit the Cequent website for the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels.
The 76134 is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 3500 lb. (1589 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 350 lb. (159 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits. This hitch does not support weight-distributing operation and must not be used with spring bars.
No drilling is required. The hitch bolts into existing factory weld nuts on the frame. However, fascia trimming is required on all models, and appearance panel trimming or removal is required on 2016-current models.
All fasteners must be tightened to 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Required tools: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10 mm, 12 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm), 6-inch socket extension, flat-head screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, wire cutter, pliers, exhaust removal pliers, and soapy water or small hole brush. Optional tools: pry bar, utility knife, and die grinder.
Installation time varies by model year: 2013-2015 models average 20 minutes for professional installers; 2016-current models average 45 minutes. These times are for professional installers. If you are not comfortable performing the installation yourself or need assistance, contact a professional installer.
Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed posted speed limits. Load the trailer heavier in front. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel steady—do not apply brakes or speed up. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or the hitch's 3500 lb. maximum gross trailer weight.
Yes, the hitch can be installed on vehicles with the hands-free, foot-activated power liftgate option. However, the liftgate sensor will be reduced to a limited area, and the hands-free function will only work in those limited areas. You must obtain the vehicle owner's approval before installation.
The installation procedure for 2013-2015 models involves moving fascia tabs out of the way and raising the hitch over the exhaust to slide it under the fascia. The manual indicates you gently pull the fascia out during installation, but the full fascia removal procedure described for 2016-current models is not required. However, fascia trimming is still necessary.
The conical washers must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. The fastener kit includes 5 conical washers (1/2 inch), and they are positioned between the M12 bolts and the hitch mounting points.
The 76134F fastener kit includes: 5 bolts M12x1.25x40 CL10.9, 5 conical washers (1/2 inch), and 2 cable ties. Note: The English manual shows Qty. (5) for bolts and washers, while the French and Spanish versions show Qty. (2). Verify the correct quantity with your kit.
For 2013-2015 models: locate the center of the fascia and mark 2 inches (50.8 mm) each way, then mark 1 inch (25.4 mm) up from the fascia edge. For 2016-current models: mark 2 inches (50.8 mm) each way and 1-3/4 inches (44.45 mm) up from the fascia edge. Before cutting, check inside the fascia to confirm no wiring or other obstruction is in the way. If the vehicle has a kick sensor, move the wire out of the track to prevent cutting it.
Yes. For 2016-current models, you must remove or trim plastic appearance panels. Remove the driver-side plastic appearance panel using a flat-head screwdriver and 10 mm socket to remove 2 plastic rivets and 1 flange nut. Remove any additional plastic appearance panels located between the fascia and end panel on both sides. These panels can be trimmed or returned to the vehicle owner.
Remove the rubber isolator from the exhaust rod on the passenger side by spraying lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator to aid removal. For additional clearance, remove the next rubber isolator. Support the exhaust system to prevent damage. After hitch installation, raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the rubber isolator(s).
Using a 12 mm socket, remove the keyless entry antenna at its second attachment point. After the hitch is installed and torqued, relocate the antenna by using cable ties to attach it under the crosstube of the hitch in the same basic area it was removed from.
Remove the tie-down bracket using a 17 mm socket to remove 2 bolts from the bracket. Return the bracket to the vehicle owner.
If present, disconnect the electrical wiring located on the driver-side rear quarter panel before removing the appearance panels. If any wiring harness or sensor is attached to the rear fascia, disconnect it before removing the fascia. Reattach any wiring harness after reinstalling the fascia.
Bend the tab on the end of the frame rearward about 20 degrees on both sides. This step is specific to 2013-2015 models and is not required for 2016-current models.
No. After positioning the hitch over the existing weld nuts, loosely install the M12 bolts and conical washers. Only after all other installation steps are complete (fascia trimming, exhaust relocation, antenna relocation) should you tighten all fasteners to the specified torque of 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N·M) using a torque wrench.
If necessary, clean the threads of the existing weld nuts. Carefully run the M12 bolts into the weld nuts, or use a spiral wire brush to clean the threads before installation.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact retorque interval, but periodic inspection is essential for safe towing.
No. The 76134 is a weight-carrying hitch only. It must not be used with spring bars or in a weight-distributing configuration. The manual explicitly states: 'DO NOT USE WITH SPRING BARS.'
The 76134 includes a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering material defects in materials and workmanship, excluding ordinary wear and tear. The warranty is valid only if the product is installed, maintained, and used according to Cequent's instructions. To make a warranty claim, contact Cequent at 47912 Halyard Drive, Suite 100, Plymouth, MI 48170, or call 1-800-632-3290. Product replacement is the sole remedy; Cequent is not liable for service or labor charges.
A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not attempt to repair a damaged hitch. Contact Cequent Technical Support at 800-632-3290 or TechnicalSupport@cequentgroup.com for assistance.
Yes. The manual states: 'Obtain owners permission before installing' fascia trimming. Additionally, if the vehicle has the hands-free, foot-activated power liftgate option, you must 'Get owner approval before installation' because the liftgate function will be limited to certain areas.
No. The manual explicitly states: 'Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.' Use appropriate cutting tools such as a utility knife or die grinder instead.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. The manual lists safety glasses as required equipment.
The manual does not provide specific information about interference with spare tires or other components. Contact Cequent Technical Support at 800-632-3290 or visit the website for fitment details specific to your vehicle configuration.
Starting from the center of the vehicle, carefully align and reinstall the rear fascia and all fasteners in reverse order of removal (reverse of Step 7). Reattach any wiring harness or sensor that was disconnected. Use the same fasteners and attachment points that were removed.
If the weld nut threads are dirty or damaged, clean them before installation. Carefully run the M12 bolts into the weld nuts, or use a spiral wire brush to clean the threads. If threads remain damaged, the weld nuts may need to be replaced by a professional.
If you cut into the kick sensor track area, the wire can be moved to the outside of the track and then reset in the track. To prevent this, if the vehicle is equipped with a kick sensor, move the wire out of the track before cutting the fascia.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
