Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Yes. Part numbers 76177, 84177, and CQT76177 are designed for 2017-Current Nissan Rogue Sport. Visit the manufacturer's website for the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels.
The hitch is rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 3500 lb (1589 kg) and a maximum tongue weight of 525 lb (238 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Required tools include: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets, 18 mm socket, 6" socket extension, flat head screwdriver, exhaust removal pliers, and a 3/4" die grinder. A torque wrench is essential for proper fastener tightening.
Yes. A die grinder is required to widen an existing hole on the driver side of the frame, located between the middle and forward-most holes. The hole must be widened enough for one of the mounting blocks to fit into the frame.
Yes. The muffler must be lowered by removing the four rearmost rubber hangers using exhaust removal pliers. Applying lubricant to the rubber hangers makes removal easier. Ensure the exhaust is supported before removing the hangers. The muffler is raised back into position after hitch installation.
Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 105 Lb.-Ft. (142 N·M). Tighten all hex nuts to 75 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·W). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure during towing.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Periodically verify that all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to your vehicle.
The product includes a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering material defects in materials and workmanship, excluding ordinary wear and tear. The warranty is valid only if the product is installed, maintained, and used according to the manufacturer's instructions. Product replacement is the sole remedy. To make a warranty claim, contact Horizon Global Americas Inc. at 47912 Halyard Drive, Suite 100, Plymouth, MI 48170, or call 1-800-632-3290. You must provide the product and purchase receipt to process a claim.
The manual does not provide specifications for a weight-distributing hitch version. The 76177 is a weight-carrying hitch only. Contact the manufacturer at 800-632-3290 or TechnicalSupport@horizonglobal.com to inquire about weight-distributing options.
Yes. The rear tow hook must be removed by unbolting six M12 bolts: three on the lower surface and three on the side. Use an 18 mm socket and extension. There is a black plastic module near the side bolts that can be moved by pulling it toward the passenger side to improve access. Set the bolts aside for reinstallation later.
The plastic fascia stabilizer must be removed to access the hitch installation area. Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the two plastic push rivets holding the stabilizer in place. The stabilizer is held by two plastic tabs that can be removed by pinching them or rotating the entire stabilizer.
Using the provided fish wire (part no. 5481), push the two carriage bolts (1/2–13 x 1.25) into the widened hole. Insert the two blocks (1" x 2", part no. 5121) into the holes and pull the fish wire out, ensuring the bolts are seated into the blocks. Kink the pull wire to keep the spacer independent of the bolt. See Figure 2 in the manual for illustration.
The fastener kit (76177F) includes: two carriage bolts (1/2–13 x 1.25), two blocks (1" x 2", part no. 5121), two conical toothed washers (1/2"), two hex nuts (1/2–13), four M12 bolts, and fish wire (part no. 5481) for installation. The hitch also uses four existing M12 weldnuts in the frame rail.
The conical toothed washers (1/2") must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. Two washers are used in the installation, as shown in Figure 1.
Raise the hitch over the tailpipe(s) and align the holes in the hitch bracket with the existing weldnuts in the frame rail. Then install the four M12 bolts and two hex nuts with two conical toothed washers as shown in Figure 1.
After tightening all fasteners to the specified torque, replace the black plastic module you removed in step 3, then raise the muffler back into position and reattach the rubber hangers (two per side).
All M12 CL10.9 fasteners must be tightened to 105 Lb.-Ft. (142 N·M) using a torque wrench. This specification applies to the four main hitch mounting bolts.
All hex nuts (1/2–13) must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·W) using a torque wrench. Two hex nuts are used in the installation.
Always wear safety glasses during installation. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Ensure the exhaust is supported before removing rubber hangers. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue towing with a damaged hitch or ball.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain proper weight distribution and stability during towing.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Periodically verify that all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to your vehicle. The manual does not specify exact retightening intervals.
The average installation time is 45 minutes for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer.
Yes. The die grinder is used to permanently widen an existing hole on the driver side of the frame to accommodate one of the mounting blocks. This is a permanent modification required for proper hitch installation.
No. The muffler must be lowered by removing the four rearmost rubber hangers to provide clearance for raising the hitch into position over the tailpipe(s). The muffler is raised back into position after hitch installation.
The manual recommends spraying a lubricant on the rubber hangers to make them slide off the metal pins more easily. The specific type of lubricant is not specified; a general-purpose spray lubricant is appropriate.
The fish wire (part no. 5481) is used to guide the two carriage bolts into the widened hole and through the mounting blocks during installation. After the bolts are seated in the blocks, the fish wire is pulled out. The wire should be kinked to keep the spacer independent of the bolt.
The manual does not address potential interference with spare tires, sensors, steps, bumpers, or other vehicle components. Contact the manufacturer at 800-632-3290 or TechnicalSupport@horizonglobal.com to confirm clearance with your specific vehicle configuration.
Spray a lubricant on the rubber hangers to make them slide off the metal pins more easily. Allow the lubricant to penetrate for a few moments before attempting removal. Ensure the exhaust is properly supported before removing the hangers to prevent damage.
Ensure the hole has been widened sufficiently using the die grinder so that one of the 1" x 2" blocks fits into the frame. Use the provided fish wire (part no. 5481) to guide the carriage bolts into the hole and through the blocks. Kink the pull wire to keep the spacer independent of the bolt, and ensure the bolts are fully seated before pulling the fish wire out.
Check all fasteners frequently to ensure they remain tight. If fasteners have loosened, retighten them to the specified torque: M12 CL10.9 bolts to 105 Lb.-Ft. (142 N·M) and hex nuts to 75 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·W). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure during towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. If water or fumes are entering after installation, verify that all holes have been properly sealed and that the hitch is securely mounted.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
