Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Part number 75662 is designed for Dodge Ram vehicles equipped with a step bumper. The hitch is specifically engineered for step bumper applications. Confirm your vehicle has a step bumper before purchasing. If you are unsure whether your Dodge Ram has a step bumper, consult your vehicle documentation or contact the manufacturer.
Yes. The manual states "Step bumper required" and notes that the hitch is "designed for Step bumper." This hitch will not fit Dodge Ram vehicles without a step bumper.
The hitch has two capacity ratings depending on the type of ball mount used: Weight Distributing ball mount supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lb (4,540 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 1,000 lb (454 kg). Weight Carrying ball mount supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lb (2,724 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 600 lb (272 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these hitch specifications.
You will need two wrenches: a 3/4" wrench and a 1-1/8" wrench. A torque wrench is also required to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values of 260 Lb.-Ft. for 3/4-10 GR5 fasteners and 110 Lb.-Ft. for 1/2-13 GR8 fasteners.
The hitch includes: one 3/4-10 GR5 hex bolt (3.5" long), one 3/4" conical washer, one 3/4-10 hex nut, two 1/2-13 GR8 carriage bolts, two 1/2" conical washers, two 1/2-13 hex nuts, two spacers, and two pull wires. If fasteners are missing or damaged, the Fastener Kit 75662F is available separately.
No. The manual states that removal of the spare tire can make installation easier, however, removal is not necessary. You may choose to remove it to improve access, but it is optional.
Follow these steps in order: (1) Remove the trailer ball cover cap from the center of the bumper. (2) Install the conical washer and 3/4" hex bolt into the trailer hitch ball attachment hole in the vehicle bumper. (3) Raise the hitch into position. (4) Slide the 3/4" hex nut into position under the rear attachment and hand tighten only until all fasteners are installed. (5) Feed the pull wire through the cross member, attach the spacer to the carriage bolt, and pull fasteners through the vehicle cross tube into position. (6) Loosely install conical washers and nuts onto the carriage bolts. (7) Torque all fasteners to specifications.
Set the 3/4" hex nut into the cut out on the strap to assist installation. This positioning helps support the hitch during the installation process. The nut should be hand tightened only until all fasteners are installed; final torquing comes after all fasteners are in place.
Tighten all 3/4-10 GR5 fasteners with a torque wrench to 260 Lb.-Ft. (353 N·M).
Tighten all 1/2-13 GR8 fasteners with a torque wrench to 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·M).
Hand tighten the 3/4" hex nut only until all fasteners are installed. Loosely install the conical washers and nuts onto the carriage bolts. Only after all fasteners are in place should you use a torque wrench to tighten all fasteners to their final specifications: 260 Lb.-Ft. for 3/4-10 GR5 fasteners and 110 Lb.-Ft. for 1/2-13 GR8 fasteners.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends regular inspection to ensure the installation remains secure.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but regular inspection is recommended to maintain safety and security.
The pull wire is used to feed through the cross member and help position the carriage bolts. You attach the spacer to the carriage bolt and use the pull wire to pull the fasteners through the vehicle cross tube into position as shown in the diagram.
The spacers (Item 5) are attached to the carriage bolts and help position the fasteners correctly through the vehicle cross tube. Two spacers are included in the hardware kit.
Install the conical washer before the 3/4" hex bolt into the trailer hitch ball attachment hole in the vehicle bumper. The conical washer helps distribute the load and secure the bolt properly.
Yes, if your Dodge Ram has a step bumper. This hitch is designed specifically for Dodge Ram vehicles with step bumpers and will not fit without one.
You need a 3/4" wrench, a 1-1/8" wrench, and a torque wrench to tighten fasteners to 260 Lb.-Ft. and 110 Lb.-Ft. as specified.
