Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes. Part numbers 65076 and CQT65076 are designed for 2017-Current Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 models. Visit the manufacturer's website to confirm your specific year and trim level are supported, as application details may vary.
Do not exceed the lower of your truck manufacturer's towing rating or 9,000 lb maximum winch line pull. Additionally, do not exceed 500 LB (227 kg) cargo capacity or your truck's front Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Consult your vehicle's owner manual for the specific towing rating.
Required tools: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, 18 mm socket, 3/4" socket, utility knife, and tape measure. Optional tools: die grinder or drill with 1/4" bit, marker or tape, and plastic trim tools. A torque wrench is essential for proper fastener tightening.
Bumper removal is only necessary if your vehicle has an oil cooler located behind the bumper. Check your vehicle first. If an oil cooler is present, you must remove the front bumper to access and temporarily move the cooler during installation. If no oil cooler is present, bumper removal is not required.
Yes. The lower air dam must be trimmed or removed for hitch installation. You must obtain the vehicle owner's permission before cutting. Mark the air dam 1-5/8" [41.3] from the bottom, then 3-1/2" [88.9] up; mark 1-3/4" [44.5] from the centerline over, then 3-1/2" [88.9] back. The manual recommends drilling small holes in the corners first, then trimming the area so the receiver tube can pass through.
No. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes. Use a utility knife, die grinder, or drill with a 1/4" bit instead. A torch is prohibited for safety reasons.
Installation time is approximately 30 minutes for vehicles without an oil cooler. If an oil cooler is present, allow 60 to 75 minutes. These times are averages for professional installers. If you are not comfortable performing the installation yourself or need assistance, contact a professional installer.
All ½-13 GR5 carriage bolts must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M) using a torque wrench. If factory skid plate fasteners are present, tighten all M12-1.75 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure during towing.
Fish wire (part number 5482) is used to route fasteners through the frame rails. The coiled end is fed through attachment holes in the frame, then carriage bolts and spacers are attached to the wire and pulled into position. Six fish wires are included in the fastener kit. They are left attached during initial fastener placement and removed after the conical washer and hex nut are installed.
The manual does not require battery disconnection. However, you must disconnect the electrical plug on the driver's frame rail if present (step 2), and reconnect it after installation (step 9). If your vehicle has fog lights on the front bumper, disconnect the electrical connector before removing the bumper.
If factory skid plate fasteners are present, loosen the outer flange nuts (step 3) to ease installation. Remove the inner flange nuts and bolts (step 4) and return them to the vehicle owner. After the hitch is installed, tighten the outer flange nuts on the factory skid plate (step 10) and torque all M12-1.75 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M).
The fastener kit includes four types of spacers: (1) Qty. 4 spacers P/N 3022 (.250 x 1 x 3) for side fasteners; (2) Qty. 2 spacers P/N HE-2461-000 (.250 x 1 x 3.25) for bottom fasteners; (3) Qty. 4 spacers P/N 1336 (2 x 1.5 x .188) used only if the skid plate bracket is not present, placed between the frame rails and hitch on both sides. Spacers are attached to the fish wire along with carriage bolts during installation.
The conical washer (part number 01292008) must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. The washer is fed over the fish wire and used to hold the carriage bolt in place before the hex nut is attached.
When raising the hitch into position, be careful of the cooling lines on the passenger side. The manual specifically warns to protect these lines during step 7. If an oil cooler is present, you will need to temporarily move it out of the way before installing the hitch.
If an oil cooler is present: (1) Using an 18 mm socket, remove the forwardmost nut on each side that attaches the oil cooler brackets to the frame rail; (2) Slide the oil cooler bracket off the forward bolt on each side; (3) Pivot the cooler down and out of the way to access the other nut; (4) Bend the small tab on the bottom oil cooler bracket out of the way for reinstallation; (5) Remove the bolts and return fasteners to the vehicle owner. After the hitch is installed, slide the oil cooler bracket back over the forwardmost attachment point so it rests just above the hitch crosstube.
To remove the front bumper: (1) Using a trim panel tool, remove 5 plastic fasteners from the top and 5 from the bottom of the center trim panel, then pry the panel from the bumper center and set aside; (2) Remove 2 bolts from each side of the bumper's backside, located outside the frame rail directly below the forward body mount; (3) Using an 18 mm socket, remove 4 bolts from each side around the tow hook; (4) With a second person's help, set the bumper aside and disconnect the electrical connector for the fog lights. Reinstall in reverse order after hitch installation.
After installation, verify that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. Check the hitch frequently during initial use. Ensure the ball is properly tightened. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle. A damaged hitch or ball should be removed and replaced immediately.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but periodic inspection is required to maintain safe towing operation. Proper torque (75 Lb.-Ft. for ½-13 GR5 fasteners) is needed to keep the hitch secure during towing.
Key safety warnings: (1) Always wear your seatbelt; (2) Slow down when towing and never exceed posted speed limits; (3) Load the trailer heavier in front; (4) Do not exceed the lower of your truck manufacturer's towing rating or 9,000 lb maximum winch line pull; (5) Do not exceed 500 LB cargo capacity or truck front GAWR; (6) If excessive sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel steady—do not apply brakes or speed up; (7) Always read and follow all warnings for your vehicle and other accessories used with the hitch before use.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. The manual emphasizes this requirement and also recommends observing safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
No. Do not cut, weld, or modify this receiver. Doing so may compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch. The hitch must be used as designed and installed according to the manual instructions.
