Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Yes. The bumper beam must be removed to access the hitch mounting points. Use an 18 mm socket to remove (4) M12 flange nuts from the bumper beam bolts on the end panel, per side. The bumper beam should be returned to the vehicle owner. Note: the tow eye will be inoperative after bumper beam removal; use the chain ring on the hitch as an alternative.
The entire rear fascia must be removed, along with: (8) bolts from the bottom of the fascia, (3) rivets from the outside of each wheel well liner and (1) from the inside per side, (1) bolt inside each wheel well liner, (1) screw from the rear trim panel center, plastic covers from driver and passenger side panels, (1) bolt from each cargo tie hook, and (3) hex nuts holding each taillight. The taillights must be disconnected and removed. The fascia is then gently pulled away from the outer edges near the wheel wells.
Both taillights (driver and passenger side) must be removed. Each taillight is held by (3) hex nuts accessed from behind the panel using an 8 mm socket with extension. The wiring harness must be disconnected before removal.
No drilling is required. The hitch mounts to existing factory studs on the end panel using factory M12 flange nuts. However, the bottom of the rear fascia must be trimmed using a die grinder to clear the hitch.
Using a tape measure, marker, and die grinder, measure and trim the bottom cover as shown in Figure 2. The trim dimensions are 5¼ inches and 6½ inches from the vehicle centerline (LC). Specific measurement points are shown in the installation diagram on page 4 and 8.
No. The manual explicitly states: 'Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.' Use a die grinder instead.
All M12x1.5 fasteners must be torqued to 68 ft-lb (92 N·m) using a torque wrench. Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
The (2) fastener assemblies attaching the receiver housing to the hitch (M12 bolt, flat washer, and prevailing torque nut) must each be torqued to 92 lb-ft (125 N·m).
The hitch mounting bolts are M12x1.75x100 mm, class 10.9 (CL10.9). They are torqued to 68 ft-lb (92 N·m). The fastener kit 76925F includes (2) of these bolts.
The prevailing torque nuts are M12x1.75, class 10 (CL10). The fastener kit 76925F includes (2) of these nuts. They are torqued to 68 ft-lb (92 N·m) when securing the hitch to the vehicle.
To separate the receiver from the receiver housing: (1) use the key to unlock the blue knob, (2) push in the blue knob, (3) rotate clockwise until you hear a click sound. At this point, the receiver can be separated from the receiver housing. See figures A, B, and C in the manual.
Install the weather covers to the top and bottom of the receiver housing before attaching the housing to the hitch. See figure D in the manual.
Insert the receiver housing between the hitch brackets, align with holes, and insert (2) fastener assemblies (M12 bolt, flat washer, and prevailing torque nut). Torque each fastener to 92 lb-ft (125 N·m). See figure E in the manual.
Apply (1) label to the top of the receiver and (1) label to the vehicle door jamb. Keep the warning card in the vehicle glove compartment for future reference. See figure F in the manual.
The hitch mounting bolts should be loosely installed first (step 3), then fully tightened to 68 ft-lb (92 N·m) (step 4), and then the fascia should be trimmed (step 5). After trimming, the fascia, taillights, plastic covers, and all fasteners are reinstalled.
The maximum tongue weight is 350 lb (159 kg). Do not exceed this limit or the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain proper weight distribution and stability during towing.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do NOT apply your brakes and do NOT speed up. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit.
Yes. Do NOT cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Any modifications will compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes periodic checking to ensure the hitch remains securely mounted to the vehicle when towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced immediately. Do not continue towing with a damaged hitch.
The average installation time is 1 hour 30 minutes for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer.
The manual states that if you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, please contact a professional installer. Professional installation is recommended but the manual does not explicitly require it.

Yes, this is expected. The manual states: 'Tow eye will be inoperative after bumper beam removal.' The bumper beam must be removed to install the hitch, which disables the factory tow eye. Use the chain ring on the hitch as an alternative for towing.
If excess sway occurs: (1) Take your foot off the gas pedal, (2) Hold the steering wheel as steady as possible, (3) Do NOT apply your brakes, (4) Do NOT speed up. Slow down and reduce speed. If the problem persists, stop towing and inspect the hitch, trailer load distribution, and ball connection for proper tightness.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
