Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Part number 76141 fits 2012-2015 Mercedes ML350 and 2016-current Mercedes GLE350. For the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels, visit the Cequent website.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 7000 lb (3178 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 700 lb (318 kg) for both weight-carrying and weight-distributing configurations. However, do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
Required tools include: safety glasses, ratchet, torque wrench, 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 16mm, and 3/4" sockets, 6" socket extension, E10 external Torx bit, exhaust removal pliers, and tin snips. A flathead screwdriver is also shown in the equipment list.
The fastener kit 76141F includes: (2) hex bolts ½"-13 x 3.5" Grade 5, (6) conical washers 1/2", (4) hex nuts ½"-13 Grade 5, (2) carriage bolts ½"-13 x 1.75" Grade 5, and (5) cable ties.
For BlueTec vehicles only, you must lower (not fully remove) the DEF tank by removing the rearmost bolt holding the tank and the rearmost nut securing the strap using a 13mm socket. Be sure to support the DEF tank to prevent damage. The tank is then raised and resecured after hitch installation.
No, the exhaust is not removed. It is lowered by removing the rubber isolator from the hanger using exhaust removal pliers and unbolting the exhaust hanger near the middle of the vehicle using a 13mm socket. This is done on both driver and passenger sides if present. The exhaust is then raised and resecured after hitch installation.
Yes, heat shield trimming is required. Trim and reinstall heat shields according to Figure 2, using the rib in the panel as a cutting guide. Dimensions are approximate; confirm fit prior to trimming. For BlueTec vehicles only, also trim 4" from the inboard edge of the DEF tank shield (Figure 3) and reinstall it.
Tighten M8 fasteners to 25 lb-ft (34 N·m), M10 fasteners with torque wrench to 38 lb-ft (52 N·m), and 1/2" fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m). Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
Install conical tooth washers with the teeth side against the hitch. This applies to both the bolt plate installation (step 9) and the mounting plate installation (step 10).
The (5) cable ties provided are used to attach the fascia tabs to the hitch cross tube in the final installation step.
Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or 7000 lb GVWR / 700 lb tongue weight. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. Periodically verify that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Periodically verify that all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A damaged hitch or ball must be removed and replaced.
No. Do not cut, weld, or modify this receiver. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
The average installation time is 40 minutes for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, contact a professional installer.
No, the bumper is not fully removed. You must remove the bumper fascia brackets by removing (4) screws in the lower bumper fascia tabs and (5) nuts using a 10mm socket. For 2014 and newer models, also remove (3) bolts using a 10mm socket to remove the center fascia support bracket. Return these brackets and hardware to the owner. You also remove the lower (2) bolts securing the bumper to the vehicle using a 16mm socket on both sides, but the bumper itself is not removed.
The bolt plate is raised into position first and secured using carriage bolts through the square holes in the hitch and into the slots of the bolt plate, with conical tooth washers and 1/2" hex nuts. The mounting plate is then raised into position and secures the hitch to the cross member using 1/2"-13 x 3.5" hex bolts, 1/2" conical toothed washers, and 1/2" hex nuts.
Yes. The lower (2) bolts securing the bumper to the vehicle are removed in step 6 and then reused in step 8 to secure the hitch to the bumper beam studs.
The installation sequence is: (1) Remove DEF tank shield (BlueTec only), (2) Remove bumper fascia brackets, (3) Lower exhaust, (4) Remove heat shield, (5) Lower DEF tank (BlueTec only), (6) Remove lower bumper bolts, (7) Trim heat shield, (8) Install hitch, (9) Raise bolt plate and install carriage bolts, (10) Raise mounting plate and secure to cross member, (11) Tighten all fasteners to specification, (12) Raise exhaust, (13) Trim and reinstall DEF tank shield (BlueTec only), (14) Secure fascia tabs with cable ties.
