Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Cequent offers four pintle hook models with different capacities: the 63013 (5 Ton) with 2,000 lb max tongue weight and 10,000 lb max gross trailer weight; the 63014 (10 Ton) with 4,000 lb tongue and 20,000 lb trailer weight; the 63015 (15 Ton) with 6,000 lb tongue and 30,000 lb trailer weight; and the 63016 (30 Ton) with 14,000 lb tongue and 60,000 lb trailer weight.
Three combination models are available: the 63010 (1-7/8" ball) with 3,000 lb max tongue weight, 6,000 lb ball hitch capacity, and 16,000 lb pintle capacity; the 63011 (2" ball) with 3,000 lb tongue, 10,000 lb ball, and 16,000 lb pintle; and the 63012 (2-5/16" ball) with 3,000 lb tongue, 14,000 lb ball, and 16,000 lb pintle.
The mounting structure must be capable of supporting the rated capacity of the pintle hook in accordance with SAE J847. You must not exceed your vehicle's towing rating, the pintle mounting rating, or the trailer coupler rating. Consult your vehicle manufacturer to confirm your frame can support the hook's capacity before installation.
You must use only Cequent-supplied bolts, locknuts, and washers. The installation requires four 1/2" grade 8 bolts. Do not substitute with other fasteners, as the manual specifies that only Cequent-supplied hardware is approved for this installation.
The four 1/2" grade 8 mounting bolts must be torqued to 100 ft. lbs. Do not lubricate the threads before installation, as over-tightening due to lubrication can cause bolt failure.
For combination pintle and ball hooks, the ball locknut must be torqued to 350 ft. lbs. During maintenance, if the locknut torque falls below 70 inch lbs. of torque required to thread onto the ball shaft, the locknut must be replaced.
1. Open the latch by removing the safety pin and lifting the latch. 2. Position the drawbar eye over the horn of the pintle and lower it into place. 3. Close the latch and insert the safety pin. Be careful with the drawbar when coupling to avoid damaging the latch. Consult DOT regulations and the American Trucking Association for complete coupling and uncoupling procedures.
1. Open the latch by removing the safety pin and lifting the latch. 2. Replace the safety pin in the hole to retain the latch in the open position. 3. Position the ball coupler over the ball and lock it into place, following the coupler manufacturer's instructions. Be careful with the drawbar when coupling to avoid damaging the latch.
Maintain adequate vertical (tongue) load of approximately 10% of the trailer weight to properly control the trailer, but do not exceed the rated tongue weight capacity for your specific hook model. Refer to the product specifications table for your model's maximum tongue weight limit.
Yes. For off-road applications, reduce the rated capacities by 25 percent. This applies to both the tongue weight and gross trailer weight limits for your specific hook model.
When loading or unloading a trailer coupled to the tow vehicle, support the rear of the trailer to avoid load shifting. This prevents damage to the hitch and maintains safe control of the trailer.
Clean and inspect the pintle hook for proper operation every 30,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. Regularly lubricate the latch and lock pivots with a light oil lubricant. Periodically check all mounting bolts and the ball locknut for proper torque (100 ft. lbs. for mounting bolts, 350 ft. lbs. for ball locknut on combination models).
Replace the ball locknut if the torque falls below 70 inch lbs. of torque required to thread onto the ball shaft. This check should be performed during your regular maintenance inspections every 30,000 miles or 3 months.
No. Do not lubricate the threads on the mounting bolts. Lubrication can cause over-tightening and bolt failure. Use only dry bolts when installing the pintle hook.
No. Do not drill or weld to the pintle hook. Any modifications to the hook structure will compromise its integrity and safety.
The mounting structure must support the hook's rated capacity per SAE J847, and you cannot exceed your vehicle's towing rating. Confirm your frame can support the specific model's capacity with your vehicle manufacturer before purchase.

Torque the four 1/2" grade 8 mounting bolts to 100 ft. lbs. Do not lubricate the threads, as this can cause bolt failure from over-tightening.
Torque the ball locknut to 350 ft. lbs. on combination pintle and ball hooks. Replace the locknut if it falls below 70 inch lbs. during maintenance checks.
Maintain approximately 10% tongue weight for proper trailer control, but do not exceed your hook model's maximum tongue weight rating. For off-road use, reduce all capacities by 25%.
Inspect and clean every 30,000 miles or 3 months (whichever is first). Lubricate latch and lock pivots with light oil, and check all mounting bolts and ball locknut torque regularly.
