Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Cequent offers four pintle hook models: the 63013 (5 Ton, 2000 lb max tongue weight, 10,000 lb max gross trailer weight), 63014 (10 Ton, 4000 lb, 20,000 lb), 63015 (15 Ton, 6000 lb, 30,000 lb), and 63016 (30 Ton, 14,000 lb, 60,000 lb). Choose based on your trailer's weight requirements. Do not exceed the vehicle, pintle mounting or trailer coupler rating.
Three combination models are offered: 63010 (1-7/8" ball, 3000 lb max tongue weight, 6000 lb max gross trailer weight for ball / 16,000 lb pintle), 63011 (2" ball, 3000 lb, 10,000 lb ball / 16,000 lb pintle), and 63012 (2-5/16" ball, 3000 lb, 14,000 lb ball / 16,000 lb pintle). Each model supports different ball sizes and weight capacities.
The mounting structure must be capable of supporting the rated capacity of the pintle hook in accordance with SAE J847. You must also not exceed your vehicle's towing capacity, the pintle mounting rating, or the trailer coupler rating. Consult your vehicle manufacturer and the hitch specifications to confirm compatibility before installation.
You must use only Cequent-supplied bolts, locknuts and washers. The installation requires four 1/2" grade 8 bolts. For combination pintle and ball hooks, an additional ball locknut is required. Do not substitute fasteners, as using non-Cequent hardware may compromise safety and performance.
The four 1/2" grade 8 mounting bolts must be torqued to 100 ft-lbs. Do not lubricate the threads before installation, as this can lead to bolt failure due to over-tightening.
The ball locknut on combination pintle and ball hooks must be torqued to 350 ft-lbs. Periodically check this torque during maintenance; if it falls below 70 inch-lbs of torque required to thread onto the ball shaft, replace the locknut.
No. Do not drill or weld to the hitch. Any drilling or welding will compromise the structural integrity and safety of the product.
To open the latch, remove the safety pin and lift the latch. Position the drawbar eye over the horn of the pintle and lower it into place. Close the latch and insert the safety pin to secure it. Be careful with the drawbar when coupling and uncoupling to avoid damaging the latch.
Open the latch by removing the safety pin and lifting it. Replace the safety pin in the hole to retain the latch in the open position. Position the ball coupler over the ball and lock it into place, following the coupler manufacturer's instructions. Consult DOT regulations and the American Trucking Association for complete coupling and uncoupling procedures.
Maintain adequate vertical (tongue) load of approximately 10% of the trailer weight to properly control the trailer, but do not exceed the rated capacities of the hitch, vehicle or trailer coupler. When loading or unloading a trailer coupled to the tow vehicle, support the rear of the trailer to avoid load shifting.
Yes. For off-road applications, reduce the rated capacities of the pintle hook by 25 percent. This reduction applies to both the maximum tongue weight and maximum gross trailer weight ratings.
Clean and inspect the hitch for proper operation every 30,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. Regularly lubricate the latch and lock pivots with a light oil lubricant. Periodically check all mounting bolts and the ball locknut for proper torque (100 ft-lbs for mounting bolts, 350 ft-lbs for ball locknut).
Replace the ball locknut if the torque falls below 70 inch-lbs of torque required to thread onto the ball shaft. This check should be performed during periodic maintenance inspections.
