With more than a hundred years of production behind it, Fulton has become the reference point for light and medium-duty trailer hardware, particularly on the marine side. That environment is the toughest test a trailer component faces. A boat trailer is reversed into fresh or salt water on every launch and left to sit wet, which finds every weakness in plating, sealing and material choice. Fulton's stated position is that the brand performs best when the weather is at its worst, and its product engineering reflects that. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Draw-Tite, Bulldog, Tekonsha and Wesbar.
Marine and utility jacks anchor the line. The XLT Series marine jack uses a bolt-through swivel mount built from three-dimensionally formed heavy-gauge steel stampings with a proprietary bushing material, a combination chosen to minimise deflection under tongue load while keeping the swivel action working after years of exposure. The F2 Series takes corrosion resistance further as the industry's only extruded aluminium marine jack with an anodised finish, which removes the rust problem at its source rather than coating over it. The wider trailer jack range covers topwind, sidewind and drop-leg configurations.
Trailer winches pull boats onto bunks and rollers. XLT Series winches use efficient gear ratios, full-length drum bearings, oil-impregnated shaft bushings and a Comfort Grip handle that makes the last few turns under load bearable, in 1,500 and 1,800 pound capacities. F2 Series winches use an enclosed frame for a cleaner look and added protection, in 1,600, 2,000 and 3,200 pound models, including two-speed options that trade line speed for cranking effort.
Couplers complete the range, including A-frame couplers matched to common tongue sizes and load ratings, serving boat owners, utility trailer users and trailer manufacturers.

Fulton® F2® Winches
The F2 Trailer Winch is a manual-operated winch designed for intermittent duty cycle use on trailers. It is not designed to secure boats to trailers while towing—boat tie-downs must be used for that purpose. The winch is designed for manual operation only and will not hold a load when the load is being let out.
No. The manual explicitly states: "Do not use winch to move humans." The winch is designed only for moving loads, not people.
The mounting surface must be equal to or greater than the footprint of the winch frame. This ensures the winch is properly supported and secured to the mounting structure.
Always use three (3) 3/8" diameter grade-5 carriage bolts with lock nuts. These must be torqued to 28-30 ft-lbs. These fasteners are required for proper attachment to the mounting structure.
A 9/16" socket is required to torque the handle roller assembly locknut to 20-25 ft-lbs. For the adjustable handle, you will also need a tool to remove and install bolts and washers on the drive shaft.
Assemble the handle assembly as shown in the diagram and torque the locknut to 20-25 ft-lbs using a 9/16" socket. The assembly includes the handle, bolt, lock washer, small flat washer, large flat washer, and cap bolt.
Yes. The adjustable handle can be mounted in different length configurations (6" to 9") and in either right or left hand orientation. To switch orientation, remove the bolt and washers from each side of the drive shaft, push the hex shaft 1/2"-3/4" through to the other side (do not remove completely to keep internal gears and bushings aligned), place the handle bolt and washers on the handle side, and torque to 22-25 ft-lbs. Repeat for the opposite side. Do not over torque.
Use the strap anchor provided with the winch. Pass the strap loop under the cross bolt or through the center hub slot, insert the strap anchor in the strap loop, then pull tight. Always maintain a minimum of three complete wraps of strap on the drum.
Before use, inspect the strap and replace it if damaged. Check mounting hardware for proper tightness and re-torque if necessary. Gears, ratchet contact points, and shaft bushings must be kept lubricated with a thin oil or grease.
The handle roller assembly locknut must be torqued to 20-25 ft-lbs using a 9/16" socket.
The adjustable handle bolts must be torqued to 22-25 ft-lbs. Do not over torque.

Be sure the ratchet plunger/pawl is engaged in the forward or loading position. As you turn the handle, make sure the strap is winding onto the drum properly. If you must stop before the load is fully in, be sure the ratchet plunger/pawl is engaged and gradually release the winch handle to be sure the ratchet plunger/pawl is holding the load.
Before turning the handle, firmly grip the winch handle and disengage the ratchet plunger/pawl or engage it in the reverse direction. You may have to take in a small amount of strap to allow the ratchet plunger/pawl to unload. With a firm grip on the winch handle, slowly let out strap. If you must stop before the load is fully out, be sure the ratchet plunger/pawl is engaged in the forward or loading position and gradually release the winch handle to be sure the ratchet plunger/pawl is holding the load.
Make sure the ratchet plunger is properly engaged and holding the load before attempting to change gears. Firmly grasp the handle of the F2 2-speed winch where it attaches to the input shaft. Push/pull to shift. Push in for high-gear and center for low-gear.
The F2 winch is designed with precision fit components and corrosion resistant materials to minimize maintenance frequency. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water along with light oil lubrication of contact points will prolong peak performance and appearance. Gears, ratchet contact points, and shaft bushings must be kept lubricated with a thin oil or grease. Use only Cequent Trailer Products' parts or parts of equal quality for repair.
