Three light mounting points run the length of the step, giving agencies the ability to increase scene awareness and officer visibility with 1x4-inch lights from trusted brands like Code 3, Federal Signal, Feniex, SoundOff Signal, and Whelen (sold separately). With dedicated mounting holes and an open-bottom design, wiring stays clean, protected, and easy to route. When officers step in or out of the vehicle, raised aluminum treads lock in underfoot, staying secure through rain, snow, mud, and whatever else the call brings. Installation is built for duty-grade reliability. High-strength, vehicle-specific brackets (sold separately) pull the steps tight to the rocker panel in a recessed position, guarding them from curbs, kicks, and the constant movement of real police work. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks.
